That's terrifying. Not even because the source is a Chinese company, it's that it's a social media company and not a trustworthy source

Since version 120 is coming to mobile soon with about 200 extensions (as mentioned in the article), can anyone recommend some good extensions that are newly added? I have ublock origin, HD YouTube, Google search fixer, clear url fixer, dark reader, privacy badger, and ghostery
But the point remains that doing nothing would have brought more value so I agree that he isn't trying to recoup lost money here
The audacity of parents trying to buy something less expensive in these crazy inflated times
This has to be the reason
And unlike Russia, they were successful
What's frustrating is that my insurance from work (US citizen) will cover the cost of the vaccine but not the person administering the vaccine meaning I still have to pay for shots even with insurance.
To be clear - this is for me (an adult) but I can imagine this this situation could impact adults with children as well. Some people are becoming anti vax, yes, but some might be affected by the ~~greed of insurance companies ~~ financial cost of vaccination
And insurance, and healthcare, and construction, etc. They are involved in so many different industries it's almost hard to believe.
Apple is very much becoming more and more into gathering data for it's own ad business. They are pushing the privacy thing now and forcing out most ad competition so they can come in and dominate on their platforms
Lol they will probably have a special Apple cable that allows for faster speeds only for their specific devices
Good! They should be accountable for their actions.
The highest honor in all the fediverse
I have had random freezing on the mobile Firefox for months now. I typically search in a private tab with a bunch of trackers disabled. If I do the same search in Chrome, Edge, Samsung Internet (in their incognito tabs) the searches load. This seems like a block on Firefox itself
It makes the choices look strange though. You see the Google suggestions and the Apple suggestions even though those aren't the default. This is that walled garden in action on both Apple and Google's side.
No they are allowing you to view them in YouTube and the Google TV library section of the app
Good. I hope it comes out soon. I'm patiently waiting for it!
And thus they get extra money for the sale of the more expensive one. That's the plan for why the cheaper model exists anyway
It's nice that this attack could only affect one server and not the entire site. This is a great in that it proves stability
I'm still salty from when this happened to Google photos
Seriously? I had no idea. That's kind of ironic if it is
And hopefully everything becomes a standard so people on both operating systems can leverage these features together
Seems like we are going to have to wait for Google to actually release the dang things and then for the EU to step in and require it... Lord knows the US won't do anything
This is why we won't ever get anything accomplished in government. Gone are the days of true compromise and doing what's best for the country. Now, it's just political theater and gaslighting
I'm on a Pixel 7 Pro and the Note20 Ultra was my previous phone. I loved that Note. It was one of the best phones and really is still just as good as the Pixel I'm on now. Most of the main selling points haven't changed.
High refresh screen, check 12GB of RAM, check Great zoom, check Good battery, check (obviously degraded but I'm referring to when it was released) Same storage capacity
The main advantage of the Pixel is the camera and a few software improvements but if I didn't get it for basically free from AT&T, I'd have probably kept the Note for as long as possible
I haven't done this. Thank you so much for this suggestion!
I am! I think this is intentional on both Apple and Google to force you to use their apps
This is great! I didn't know that. Thank you, and I'll definitely look into it for my state.
Same! Never had one but definitely wanted one. I also wanted that Nexus 4 with the sparkle back to compliment it but I ended up with the Note 2 for that massive screen.
Back then people made jokes that I carried an iPad as a phone lol how times have changed
I wonder what that's likely to be. Usually the top Android features are finalized by now. Unless they're are some Pixel exclusive features we don't know about
Exactly my thoughts! I'm waiting for confirmation on that before I decide to buy my next tracker
Me too! I never realize how many calls I don't get until I switch to another phone that isn't a Pixel. I get almost 0 spam calls with them. I love it
I wasn't aware. It really seems like uBlock origin can do everything I had all those extra extensions for! Pretty impressive
Ba dum tiss
I like the blue color!
That seems worth the trade off in my opinion. All I want is a longer lasting battery so maybe that'll be worth grabbing if I need a new device.
Thanks for the tip! That sounds like a great extension.
I agree with you and the OP of this thread. I don't want to support a company with a walled garden approach and they over complicate things to be unique
They are also raising it for student plans. I got an email saying my student rate is going to $7.99 starting in September
Yeah that's definitely misleading click bait there
What's sad to me is seeing that they are banned in other countries and these companies have already adjusted their recipes for those countries. They chose to keep the more dangerous chemicals in the US because they weren't forced to change. The US seems to not care about it's citizens
