This local single location grocery store by my house would unwrap and rewrap meat packages when it hit expiration dates in order to generate a new label with a new expiration date. If the meat looked bad, it would be added to the meat grinder to make ground beef.

And yet what can we do when there's practically a duopoly? We can't hardly choose a credit card from our bank and choose Visa or MasterCard. It's "you get a card and here's what you get"

Whatever it takes before their IPO. It's disgusting

Somebody needs to be! I like it being them

This might be a US centric view, but the drop could be associated with the fact that school ended in May and not as many people used it in June.

It also could be the novelty wearing off

Typically, I get the system alert that says permissions have been removed from certain apps since I haven't used them. I'll review the list and delete what I don't use.

I loved this picture feature when out and about in nature. I loved adding them to Maps too! I've used this feature for about 10 years now. I can't believe they are getting rid of it. It was so fun and something I thought others would add to their camera app

Doing my part!

They won't. They used to do that prior to the 6. They are able to offer longer support and they claim more features (AI and camera mostly I think) this way.

It's not enabled by default

Is that true? I would love for more people to experience Firefox

And this processor will be better than last year... The best one yet

Basically why Larry Page and Sergey Brin had Eric Schmidt become their CEO. He could do all the business stuff while they focused on doing whatever moonshots they wanted

If you’re on Android 14 QPR3, Google recommends “you move to Developer Preview 1 now.”

Otherwise you may run into time periods where the Android 14 Beta will have a more recent build date which will prevent you from going directly to the Android 15 Developer Preview without doing a data wipe.

I've been calling him that for as long as he's been around as well! Another person of culture

I believe it gathers the data from play store visits so it wouldn't count if you don't go to the play store on the car

This is what irritates me. You still made money just not as much as you wanted or hoped so your company punishes you. You can't have infinite growth

It's impressive how much testing they do. My guess is Samsung and Google also do a similar amount of tests. Assuming that's right, it's incredible how many issues the devices still have. I mean, it's bending glass so I get it, but still it's incredible how I feel like these are so fragile even with all this testing

But you have a bloat free device..../s

Very surprised with the results and wanted to get a better understanding if that's true in real life.

Is this not backwards compatible with the 7 or 6, or is this another feature drop down the road?

Thank you! I don't like either approach but I hate that only one gets this much flack

Looks like Android devices are your future because you can put a different ROM on it and avoid the issues (potentially)

So far I haven't noticed that happening. They seem to be pretty good about grabbing decent stuff. That's at my Walmart and Target at least

It's a convenient way for them to rip you off

Me too! The problem is that we are running out of good tech sites. They're all getting bought and turning into SEO spam

A guy always testing new phones every month won't change his daily driver...not that exciting of a story given the access he has

As time has gone on, I agree with you. Samsung has definitely grown on me over the years. Their software seems pretty efficient and light given the amount of extra features. Of course Pixel skin is lighter, but I don't notice the sluggishness of Samsung Experience or TouchWiz.

It is built into Android proper meaning most phones should be able to do it

I am also waiting to get one for my next phone. I'm hoping when I'm ready to upgrade things will be more durable. As someone who's loved the Note series since my Note 2 I had, I'm a sucker for a bigger screen. I'll probably never go back

Thank you!

Which is why Apple doesn't like this one but did support California's

That's what I posted it for. I'm trying to know if that's true

A lot of manufacturers have upped their game

Here are some stats. First is Android upgrades. The second is security updates.

Samsung 4 years 5 years OnePlus 4 years 5 years Oppo 4 years 5 years Google 3 years 5 years Xiaomi 3 years 4 years Motorola 3 years 4 years Realme 3 years 4 years Vivo 3 years 3 years Nokia 3 years 3 years Sony 2 years 3 years

It's a good suggestion. It's even better for smaller businesses

Good point. I wasn't sure if someone else had tried both phones and could maybe shed some light.

That's what I keep hearing. I have also heard of battery trouble and overheating on the Pixel series.

Is the battery improvements that much better than the S22?

This is the way lol

Wow! I keep hearing the S23 is the way to go when you want better battery life. That is the most important feature, I'd say
