Disagree. People are still clamoring for such a game hence the crazy popularity of the day after. There has yet been a game that had done it better than dayz stand alone. Which took nearly a decade to actually get good. If a triple a studio actually did a zombie mmo right it would be hella popular. Shit if the day after devs could pivot their game to be what they said it would be people would come flocking back.

This is absolutely my biggest complaint with Elden ring. You either use a guide or play the game 100 times trying to figure everything out. There are times where the dude literally tells you he's going to be in a specific area and then he literally isn't anywhere close to where he says he's gonna be. It's my first souls game and it was pretty frustrating for me.

Ultimately the killing of sync brought me. But reddit just isn't what it used to be. Every gaming sub is just a bunch of cry babies complaining about the game that used to be good but isn't. Every post is just someone else reposting the same popular phrase or meme. It just over all sucks. I've actually tried using the app and the site it just doesn't work well. It doesn't even show content from all of my subs like sync used to. Now I'm using sync on lemmy and its passable. I actually kind of like the smaller user base. Less hive mind bull shit.

I only spent 45. I'm not unhappy about that purchase. But I pretty much understood what they are trying to deliver is going to take a very very long time. So I guess I'm not mad about it because I wasn't expecting to actually buy a completed game for that 45. It's not the first time I've jumped on an early access game so I was fully expecting to wait and the things I've seen look so awesome I'm perfectly happy waiting till it's done. But shit I am going to get squadron 42 plus the base game so IDK I'm happy with that.
How did you lose alpha access? I paid 45 bucks several years ago haven't reported a single bug and have played on and off for years and I still have access.
The story telling is what really did it for me. I consider witcher 3 to be the greatest game I've ever played. The quality of that game is still extremely high even to today's standards.
Since this entire thread is just people shitting on the first game i figured id be a little different and say something good about the game. I very much liked the first one. Super weird but intriguing story super well acted awesome visuals and stunning graphics. If you like weird unique sifi stories you'll enjoy it. Its a slow relaxing game with some pretty intense stealth. I can't wait for the second one. Tho i do wish kojima would move on and make something more akin to metal gear plus death standing. His recent announcement the other day seems to confirm he will be doing that game after ds 2.

I'm not denying the civilian casualties I agree it is unacceptably high But that doesn't caragotize what's happening as a genocide. But Hamas has said they want a high casualty rate they are using their civilians as human shields. Would you really suggest Hamas should just be able to get away with Oct 7th because they are hiding behind their people. Like what is your answer if you were the one making the choice here? Yes I want you to explain how the extreme brutality of what Hamas soldiers did on Oct 7th compares to Israel relating. Have you watched the videos? I'm not denying the treatment of Palestine citizens by Israel but that does not give Hamas the right to do what they did on Oct 7th. Again watch the videos Hamas themselves recorded during the attack. They killed those people because their religion told them to. Hamas themselves said they will keep doing it again and again. I understand the death toll is high. But again what would you rather do? I'm just trying to understand your logic. I don't know how to wage war but I can take an educated guess that it's pretty difficult to tell the difference between a Gaza citizen and a Hamas solders as they don't wear any kind of uniform and purposely hide amongst civilians. I'm not defending killing civilians in asking what your alternative strategy would be. Or how you think Israel and us should respond. Because zero response is an unacceptable answer.
