just to be sure - are you referring to the musicians as millionaires or do you mean the streaming service ceos? just wanted to check because i know a few musicians and none of them are millionaires, seems like they are doing something wrong... 😐

i'm a fan of immich, but i don't think it deletes photos from your phone when deleting it on the server.

As to why all the anticheat stuff matters so much, I'm not quite sure.

it's probably not about anti-cheat but something with collecting data which is probably easier when you install a rootkit

maybe even roflmao

the worst part is when they start calling 🙄

i don't. i'm stuck with the music i listened to 20 years ago. 😐

GOG does not give out steam keys, you can download all games as 'stand alone installers' and don't need a launcher. You forgot the humble store (which now also comes with a launcher).

more than two hours and still no link? 😱

5$ for vpn and usenet? where can one hypothetically get this?

unifi has nice (a) doorbell(s). you need a server to record and run the controller though, but that can be a raspberry pi

sqlite is not something one would use for a database with a lot of users, postresql or mysql/mariadb is a better choice in these circumstances. and i don't think having jquery as a dependency in 2023 is a positive sign. not sayibg the software is bad, it's just different.

that does not matter you can just download more ram

My Model 3 has a real world range of about 420km (maybe 300 if I constantly go 160km/h). For long travels this is more than I need, as I usually travel with the family and about every 2 or 3 hours I need a break. Plug it in, eat something, your good to go an additional 200km with the charge you added. It also takes me to work and back for 4 or even 5 days. When I could not charge at home I could at work or while grocery shopping. I prefer this over waiting 3 minutes at the gas station doing nothing else than holding a dirty hose.

I use arch btw

some other just block access from the eu completely. (not a news site, but applebee's does this)

PGP is the solution, but the problem is, that noone likes to use it. Or it's "too complicated", because it's another password they need to remember. Or, whatever. It would literally solve nearly all of the problems we currently have with emai 🤷 No more spam, because you could filter out all unsigned or untrusted mails, no problems when your email account is hacked, because the mails are encrypted on the server. No Mailserver admin spying on your mails...

ink for google does look like it's not made by google, so it may have a longer lifespan 👍 it seems to add material design elements to google pages, which is something google just didn't have time for yet... 😵‍💫

that should not be the case because wireguard only 'runs' when it sends or receives packets. try setting the keepalive time a bit higher, 5 minutes maybe.

i guess the issue is not that you can't use yaml but instead that a lot of things are removed from the actual config.yaml file. inuser tonhave all integrations set up in that file, after every update i get a notification, that this is deprecated for that integration and that i should remove it and use the gui setup instead. i have my config in git which saved me from needing backups, because all was already configured and could be redeployed at any time to another machine. now that is not possible anymore.

Vaultwarden is a selfhostable bitwarden implementation where all the features are free. (Some are not implemented, though)

he's right, though. and a router between them.

vlans are not needed, but they are better than just using different ip ranges without physical seperation

Using a VPN to connect to your own server for torrenting does not make sense, because that may not be 'your' IP address the traffic originates from, but it is still linked to you as you pay for the server. If you use a VPN from mullvad or something else it cannot (easliy) be tracked back to you directly. (It can, but to the outside there is just a lot of traffic comming from a single source IP, and it is not just your traffic but from a dozen other users. That's the point of using a VPN provider)

Don't copy your private key to your laptop, generate a new one and add its public key to the same user. Also use a different key for every remote host. (or don't, but that's kind of like using the same password for all your accounts)

can still be DMCAd 🤷
