That looks really awesome. Would be interesting to know the performance impact of this in comparison to the traditional approach and whether that impact makes it worth it to use it in any type of game or just in games where the ocean is a central part.

Parties in the "middle" have always done right wing politics. There is no political center, those are just right wingers that don't want to admit it or feel superior because they "listen to both sides".

I use my phone without a case too, phones don't break that easily. I even dropped it on stone tiles once when I missed my pocket and it only got a few scratches on the side from that.

It's nice of you to add alt text for the image in the description but isn't there an ActivityPub standard for that? Mastodon has, would be nice if Lemmy had it too.

I really enjoyed it the first one or two weeks but after I basically finished all the content it was just a grind for primogens and I stopped playing 😕

If you go to about:profiles, I'm pretty sure there's a button to open the profile folder. Move all the files and folders from the Firefox profile folder to the Librewolf profile folder and you should have your settings and (I think) extensions in Librewolf now. Not sure about passwords but someone here in the replies said you can just import your Firefox passwords into Bitwarden. Since you want to switch to Bitwarden anyway, you should do that. Saving passwords in the browser isn't very secure anyway.

That was a joke, whether or not your phone screen cracks it obviously not a skill issue

I managed to convince my brother and a friend of mine to vote for them. This is really disappointing. Over half the votes in Germany were for right-wing parties this time, over 16% were for the right-wing-extremist party AFD. Germany really wants history to repeat itself ig.

But god forbid the applicant didn't spend hours researching every little detail about a company, writing a perfect letter with information that could have just been bullet points and being able to explain exactly why they absolutely love the company and why it's been their dream to work there since they were a child. Or even worse: Use AI to write the application.

That's probably a real answer from someone on Quora then

Google shutting down a service?! That's a new one. I would have never expected that.

I really love GNOME but the developers keep doing shit like this and I don't get why. Their reasoning for why they won't allow custom accent colors and only predefined ones was also stupid and then they just said that if people keep asking for custom colors, they won't implement it at all.

it has stupid things like weekdays sorted alphabetically

Holy shit, that's stupid. Why would you even do this in the first place?! I can't comprehend how anyone could come to the conclusion that that's a good way to sort it.

But, over the last four years, CDPR has been able to turn the ship around with free updates, and DLC.

Why is it called free updates nowadays? Updates are always free, no?

I like how there seems to be more and more alternatives to MS Office, even from big companies like Google. Best case scenario, this could lead to companies actually starting to use an open format, like ODF, so that all these different office applications can be used without causing issues in the file and that would pave the way for open source alternatives, like LibreOffice or OnlyOffice, to become viable alternatives for a lot more people and companies. Do Google Docs and Proton Drive use/support ODF? I'm pretty sure MS Office supports it.

Maybe do a memtest. Idk what the software was called exactly but you just flash it on a USB, boot from that USB and it will test if your RAM is okay.

These sites are great for finding answers but Lemmy solves the same problem as they do. I'm actually seeing Lemmy results quite often from google recently too (I'm using SearXNG btw, it displays what search engines individual results are from).

I guess it made him look stronger or cooler or something. He'll probably also use this to say that Democrats are trying to kill him, insinuating that they don't mind killing people to achieve their goals.

Like... holding hands?! Or... kissing?!

I think people just realized that Tesla's aren't that great. They're not build well, simple repairs cost a fortune and for the same price you get better vehicles from other manufacturers, especially from ones in China.

It's not that you're missing a font but rather that your font is missing those symbols. They're not just regular letters. Here's what it should look like:

Big difference is that that one setting was shown to you with a button press when you tried to install an app. With this, you need to remember or make a screenshot of where you need to go, open the settings app and then go there and toggle it on. It's just a lot more annoying to do and Samsung probably hopes that that will deter people from doing it.

Netflix had Attack on Titan and Death Note at one point (first time I watched both was on Netflix) but now they only have the awful Death Note movie, which I hate with a passion

It's not like you can stop people from creating the same community again. Just join the one with the most active users. It's also not like this isn't happening on Reddit too, the subreddits there just have slightly different names instead of the same one on a different instance.

You've found his tombstone but that doesn't mean you've found Waldo

I'm sure a lot of the comments on other platforms would say something along the lines of "They obviously took one picture in the summer and one in the winter... 😒 But enjoy your antifa money 🤣🤣🤣"

Even if they have to pay it themselves, they can still ask their parents to buy/order it for them and just give them the money. That's what I did at that age anyway because ordering them online is cheaper and you have more choice.

Some captchas have also just gotten obvious AI training. "Click on the living being in this image", "Select every image of the same object as in this example image". And the images you have to select look obviously AI generated.

The Deutsche Bahn uses Linux for the displays in their trains, that show you the next stops, at least. Saw the systemd startup thingy on one of those displays once when the train restarted while I was in it.

notice how you didn't capitalize anything

What flickering thing?

The only way to find out it was you, would be to ask the VPN provider. Mullvad has a perfect track record of not keeping logs tho, so it's very unlikely they're gonna get anything from them. All that work wouldn't even be worth it for someone just downloading some music like you do.

I have my torrent client running 24/7 connected to a different VPN to my home country, Germany, as well and nothing's ever happened, even though Germany is pretty strict when it comes to this stuff.

In Germany, at least, those people aren't even worried about the real issues, like climate change, but about made-up issues like the green party destroying our economy (they're not), immigrants raping women left and right (they aren't) and that we aren't using nuclear energy anymore and are relying more and more on renewables (it's not causing any issues and pushing down energy price)

Why the downvotes?
