The incumbent government is circling the drain and are, it seems, determined to leave a trail of destruction and burned bridges for their successors to repair.

Unquestionably, the Dutch East India Company

This is heavy

If you build it, they will come.

For all its foibles and peculiarities, the US’ apparently almost fetishistic relationship with guns is far and away the hardest for me to understand as an outside observer.

It’s the likely eventuality, but it’ll be a long road to get there. The beta testing is going to be wild.

I’m not sure what - if any - practical application it has, but it’s extremely impressive nevertheless.

They only do the tours when the non-terrifying things are happening obviously.

Wake up sheeple!

I do the same with two subs I moderate. Fuck those guys.

Glad you like it. Part of my job is carrying out fire tests on doors; I had my camera with me to do some promo shots and took a few after the test finished. I love how industrial this one looks, reminds me of the aesthetic in Alien.

This.

Been using mine heavily for a week now, it’s fine.

Wow, what does it mean‽

Exactly what I did. I added a handful of niche subs as RSS feeds to a reader just so I can keep up on stuff that I have no other way of seeing, but otherwise Reddit is died for me on 30th June

Scanned it with the Amazon app and accidentally ordered a barrel of lube

It sucks, but so do all the others.

Just add a load of subs as feeds to an RSS reader, that’s what I’ve done. It’s not a perfect experience, but it’s good enough that you can still browse the content and you don’t have to use the app - or even the website for that matter. All you have to do to add is append the url for any sub with /.rss

I’ve done exactly the same thing. I’m now exclusively consuming Reddit via the Reeder rss app and I’ve cut my usage down by about 80% I’ll be honest that I’m missing the Apollo experience a lot more than you seem to be, but it’s provided me with a method of weaning myself off the site and is much rather that than have to just go cold turkey when I delete my account on 30th June

As true as this is, the overwhelming majority of people also have no concept of how email works.

No, I haven’t had an imaginary friend since I was four.

Stone doesn’t seem like the most sensible medium in which to bury people. Cool pic though!

Wildly speculate whilst foaming at the mouth?

I genuinely believe that Threes! may be a perfect game - if anyone can tell me a single way it could be improved, I’d love to hear it.

I just had a look and, over the 9 years or so I’ve had it, I’ve played nearly 3000 games. I may have a problem.

I don't think there is anything. They've shown their true colours over the past few weeks and it has not been a pretty sight.

I see little point in wasting more of my time on something so toxic.

A modern remake of Populous could be amazing.

This is the way.

I left on the 30th. Fuck those guys.

The BBC Micro was my first experience of computing, probably around 1989

Good times.

I have a few RSS feeds of niche subreddits that I can’t find alternatives to, but I deleted my account on 30th June

CADILLAC OF THE SKIES!

What’s the pilot smoking?

Life

C Ya

No, but he likely also thinks that he’s a pretty cool guy.

I’ve spent years tailoring my feeds in Reeder and use it every day. Up until last month I split my attentions between RSS and Reddit but now it’s mostly RSS with ever-growing Lemmy time.

Disappointing. Especially seeing that this dude will be royally fucked as soon as the angry midget gets hold of him.

And why should it? It’s a proprietary system on a single platform, what right does the EU (or anyone) have to demand that it be anything more than that?
