I can recommend the app obtainium to keep custom apk up to date via linking it with a GitHub URL!
Obtainium gave me a notification that a new release had been made on GitHub and with 1 click it updated the all on my phone to the newer version 😄
(I had Lemmy via the Playstore first, the uninstalled it and installed it via the apk obtainium)
That is the latest version. I don't think 0.34 is in the play store yet which is what he's probably referencing
They switched their game engine from Unity to GoDot, I'd say that's quite a risk...
