This costume looks like it could've come straight out of Elden Ring. Only suggestion I'd give seeing the unedited photo is that i feel like the patina on the headpiece has a much starker contrast between the corroded green and the more copper-ish/bronz-y areas. I think if the bronze looked more dull and faded as well would probably blend a bit better.

Please don't take that the wrong way, overall it's still a kick ass costume, just some small thoughts i had that might help if you make anything else in this style down the road :)

I understand your sentiment completely, and likely would go about this very similarly to yourself. One thing to bear in mind is just how important programs like this can be for reframing the general perception of psychedelics for a lot of people. It being a sanctioned, "medically approved" experience can be a huge point for changing minds on this sort of thing.

Do yourself a favor and give the whole album a listen. All of The Avalanches' work is a goldmine of plunderphonics at its best

Would be very curious to hear about more about your husband's crispy hawaiian tofu! I love tofu in any and all fashions and am always interested to find new ways to make it :)

You know I've done frozen tofu before for stir fry and the texture turns out pretty awesome, i just fell out of the habit because of the forethought to prep being ever so slightly more.

I'd be curious to try freezing then frying with a cornstarch dredge first, that's definitely my favorite crispy tofu method. I'm definitely gonna give that hawaiian garlic sauce a try, that sounds killer!

Ooh completely agree on the recommendation of Punch Brothers. I'd also especially like to thank you for the tidbit of info about Chris Thile being a member of Nickel Creek! Haven't heard of this band before but will definitely be checking them out.

Even with homeschooling there are still mandated standardized tests to make sure children are being taught at an equivalent grade level, or portfolio reviews required to be performed by a licensed teacher to go over schoolwork the child did for the entire year prior. W

It's a little disingenuous to make the claim that homeschooling is "backwards" somehow, as in areas of the country with terribly funded public schools, if parents are committed, they can absolutely provide a better education than their children would receive otherwise. This situation is the exception, not the rule.
