The consolidation of the gaming industry will be just another tale of oligopoly in a capitalist society I guess. Yaaay.

The codebase I'm working on would give chatGpt an aneurysm. I'm actually a ghost.

That's a very interesting study result that absolutely horrifies me.

Fuck nazis and fuck these racist pieces of shit. Your hate is not welcome.

My experience with reddit is that users have always hated reddit, 13 years ago it was the same thing. We all bashed reddit constantly. My experience was that we only used reddit because there was nothing better.

That was a really interesting read and yet again racism is the foundation of another major part of American society. What a shame we don't have public pools anymore. Ugh.

We need more tools, more automation, in order to fight the trash

Happy to have you! Thank you for your hard work!

Your comment made me step back a minute, thanks for sharing your thoughts. I tend to agree with your assessment after looking at this scenario more closely. I'm no fan of Microsoft but Activision isn't exactly a great studio. Only time will tell!

Sounds like air in the lines, if they didn't fill the caliper before attaching the hose it can sometimes be more difficult to bleed all the air out.

Cold brakes don't bite as hard for most types of brake pads so that tracks as normal to me. I'm guessing you got new pads, so if they haven't done the bed-in procedure, doing that might help with brake pedal response also.

Interesting, I wonder if a migration to cloudflare is what's going on. Still, its a bit odd not to see any posts about it. Thanks for the digging!

This state needs to get it's shit together. I can't stand the regressive laws.

Bad bot, this summary doesn't make sense.

Huh... I've used Guard and TDD to do this in Ruby, works great. Yes you're testing the happy path, but it is easy to define negative tests as well.

You've linked a tabloid - worthless article.

In my experience, no, that's not a typical activity. I'm not passing judgement, but perhaps there's a compromise somewhere. Perhaps a smart home might be a way to funnel your energy into something your wife might appreciate?

I hated the idea until I bought a Fold4. I'm always careful with my electronics, even so, I've dropped it several times on accident and had zero issues. I can't imagine going back to a slab phone, the flexibility of the extra screen real estate is something I use so often that it really would be a significant disruption to my everyday to go back to a slab.

Reliability is a reasonable concern, but the benefits far outweigh the potential risks for me. If you're breaking phones all the time, they probably aren't a good fit for you. I don't bring my phone to beach so maybe I'm more careful than the average user - regardless, I guess that's why I have a smartwatch.

We're already in the 5th generation for Samsung, far from the first wave!

That was pretty cool, thanks for sharing!

That's kind of the magic of the flip, it forces you to purposefully decide to open your phone, so for some folks thats a benefit! Being more present in everyday life is something I was focusing on when I was considering the flip for my next phone. I ended up with a fold for other reasons, but that was one of the best benefits I was considering.

  • PDA - HP ipaq, it ran windows CE and it was dope. I was in middle school and used it to look at boobies at night. I don't know how I convinced my parents to get it for me because it wasn't cheap.

  • nope, just VCR and eventually DVR

  • I don't know what webtv is

  • no 3d tv, that was a fad

  • rpi - yes, several, gen 1 and up

  • internet radio? I used Pandora but I didn't have a dedicated device for it.

I would take it back, but I have no idea on cost, I don't use mechanics.

Keep in mind SD cards are not generally as durable as SSDs or HDDs, so rpi servers are doable but you should make sure to back it up. Some folks connect SSDs and make the sd card read-only for booting. I haven't done this myself as I prefer towers.

Also be sure to not let your pi lose power, this can corrupt the sd card.
