That's all cool and good. What Microsoft needs to be doing is not adding shit to people's PCs without their consent and make it easier to remove them (preferably during installation)

Well, I'm cautiously.... Pessimistic.

Can't bring myself to be surprised anymore.

Starting to be a lot more active around here because a lot of people (read: deranged spammers) have been posting uhh... Sketchy shit (putting it way too lightly) in other places (Kbin was where I was most active before) and I just don't want to be around that.

Lots of job training.

Makes sense. Sucks it never happened though because that would have been a cool idea.

It sure is

US and EU

The US and UK

I am trying to apply to some IT roles. No great luck so far since my applications have either been ignored or denied, but I'm not giving up.

I mean, yeah.

Quake 1 is one of my favorite NIN albums, and it even comes with a mechanically simple but effective shooter game.

I was wondering why I had mounting anxiety and some shakes, only to realize that I had not eaten for several hours. Roast beef sandwich and some chamomile tea fixed that right up.

I've been hearing good things about waterfox

What the hell! Wish I had that as a kid!

Trying to register through this and it's directing me to localhost:3000 after logging in through steam, which then just says it refused to connect.

Edit: I figured it out. If anyone else has this issue, change "localhost:3000" to sega60th.com

A little bit of hard salami, roast beef, two slices of extra sharp cheddar, a squirt of the whataburger creamy pepper sauce and hamburger dill pickles on slices of nature's own thick sliced brioche.

I seem to be having issues with the app I use for Lemmy not applying spoilers, so I will just be incredibly vague:

Ginormous zip files

Nice, I finally have someone to block.

  1. Pomade stick. Looks kinda like deoderant but you use it on your hair. I have long hair and get flyaways like crazy, especially when I tie my hair back. Works wonders.

  2. A stainless steel Casio watch. Looks nice and will allow me to tell the time at work since I won't be allowed to have my phone on me most of the time.

I had to install a ton of mods to play it in a modern resolution, but otherwise plays well enough. Graphics are aged but looks good for how old it is.

I've kind of been flip flopping between these games:

  • Warframe
  • Star Wars KOTOR 1
  • Baldurs Gate 3

  1. 2002 Honda CRV I got nearly a year ago, been a fixer upper, but otherwise in fantastic condition for the price I bought it at.

  2. Some iFixIt toolkit I bought off of Amazon, has come in real handy for many different things.

  3. An acoustic guitar (Fender Dreadnought) I got at guitar center for nearly 200 bucks I think? Specifically wanted metallic strings, and it certainly has that. The high E string breaks a lot if I change tuning too often, but otherwise sounds fantastic and feels great to play.

I was honestly not aware, though I do know there was a whole thing around price gouging for GPUs back in I think 2020?

What do you suggest as an alternative? (Not trying to prove a point, I'm genuinely curious)

I mean, Florida is a pretty good demonstration of what increased temperature does to a person. Looking forward to the rest of the world turning to Florida.

Florida. Need I say more?

A tiny ass laptop running MX Linux loaded with some old games.

People have historically thrown huge fits over any piece of media that tries to explain memes. I have enjoyed going on the site more so to see where memes originated.

If there were any recent controversies with them, then I'm not aware of any.

And another point goes to me taking things too literally.

I was a faithful user of boost before I became a reddit refugee. I'm glad it was adapted to work with Lemmy.

I honestly hate the human culture that exists around never being wrong.

Playing flash games on cartoon network and nickelodeon. Not long after, my uncle exposed me to newgrounds. Good times.

First OS for me would be Windows XP.

First Linux I've tried using could technically be whatever version of Android was on my mom's Droid phone.

First desktop Linux would be some version of Ubuntu around 2014-2015

I left it because a lot of spam (including CP) was being posted on the site without much action being taken on it and I did not want any part of that. That was towards the start of this year though, so I am unsure what happened to the site afterwards.

Newegg has always been a classic for buying hardware and devices online.

Edit: Newegg apparently sucks now, I was not aware. Ignore this.
