One of the most informative channels I've ever watched. I recommend his dishwasher video, because everybody is doing it wrong.
Glitchy things and video games. What even is anything anymore?

In 1973 the U.S. Supreme Court rejected the Hippocratic Oath saying it didn't cover the latest developments in medical practice.
I'm just... gonna go scream into a pillow in the corner now.
They are tired of right clicking Command Prompt to "Run as Administrator". They've been doing it for decades, they can have one tiny piece of QoL improvement.
Let them cook.
Then maybe it's time to start considering if conservative values have a place in our world? What does being conservative entail other than limiting the freedoms of other humans and refusing to spend money on anything but the military? Please give me a legitimate reason why we need to resist progress?
Yeah, this seems like the business equivalent of a slap in the face to the original devs.
No wonder Bandai Namco are making big statements about game quality. They just lost their golden goose.
"These 'CAT' cables, they aren't made out of real cat right?"
Obligatory Bloodborne when?
Or they'll delete your entire art account you've been using for over a decade because one user reported you aren't you. Insta killed my account for "violating guidelines" and impersonating myself apparently. At least I don't have to deal with Threads now, but R.I.P. my creative drive since then.
I appreciate your honest response but, I haven't heard those intentions from anyone claiming to be conservative until just now.
I think it's fine to celebrate traditions, even fine to share them when asked, or offer to share them with people you know. My family makes these really specific pancakes for holidays, I love making those, great tradition. Some families deny their children basic healthcare because, traditionally their faith tells them to and that's child abuse, awful tradition. I get what you mean but it's a pretty shaky argument. As for waiting and reacting, how much longer do we need to wait to react to things like climate change, the homelessness epidemic, the opioid crisis, childhood cancer? If any of your traditions are against solving those problems, I'm sorry but I'm against those traditions and they aren't compatible with modern society.
I'm curious, why not find a new title for your political beliefs, and shame modern conservatives who line their pockets with money from big corporations? Sounds like the conservative badge isn't quite reflecting what you'd like it to anymore.
Not every game needs PvP. Helldivers is more of a wave shooter with it's design intent, so players are scaled to numerous weaker foes, not other players. Balancing for PvP would be a pain, and unnecessary since there are a ton of PvP third-person shooters already.
Being carried by From Software, who if I recall are going to be self publishing now?
"Let them cook" has been my response to anyone rushing this DLC. The game itself took a while and it was worth the wait, this will be too.
Also, From Software goes hard on DLC. The Old Hunters for Bloodborne is the champ for me, but The Ringed City and Artorias of the Abyss were both amazing and essential experiences for their base games. Let. Them. Cook.
Every time I hear that I'm like, "So YOU made your car, home, smart phone, EVERYTHING, yourself? Without the help of any other human being? Congratulations on being so self-sufficient, clearly you don't need money, or to see a doctor, or to hire a specialist for anything, you can do it all!"
"The Complete Collection" for about 9 more hours.
Psychonauts 2 happened because Microsoft bought Double Fine and said, "How much time/money do you need to finish your game?" And basically gave it to them.
"One day my log will have something to say about this."
Riot: "This Q&A will help regain player trust."
Also Riot: "You get a rootkit, you get a rootkit! Rootkits for everyone! And stay the hell off Linux!"
I've always read it as a mix of "Federated Reddit" and "Fed up with Reddit".
This appears to be more geared towards experimentation. Super interesting and more relevant to the article for sure though!
"Jobs" might be the worst metric to look at overall. How many of those jobs are part-time? How many of those jobs include health insurance? How many of those jobs pay a living wage? How many people have to have two or more of those jobs out of necessity?
Hell, how many of those "jobs" are listings that companies never intend to fill? I've seen countless listings for high qualification jobs offering poverty wages with no benefits.
Ah yes, approximation is not a record therefore we cannot consider it a factor at all, regardless of it being our best estimate given our current data. You're right, let's throw it all out and opt for ignorance. 🙄
One Nazi sends a newsletter to nine people who don't delete it, ten Nazis are in the email chain.
When I was younger I wasn't sad because I was online, I was online because I was sad and felt out of place in reality.
The cough isn't the cause of the cold, it's a symptom.
Also, I gained more empathy the older I got. So you probably need a bigger data set than your own experiences.
I feel like they called themselves Godzilla but had to change it so they decided on Gojira. They have some heavy environmentalist themes to their lyrics so, makes sense.
Edit: they did, and they were legally compelled to change their name. Gojira is fine apparently. 👍
Passion makes better games than deadlines.
From the archlinux.org news post on the issue.
Arch does not directly link openssh to liblzma, and thus this attack vector is not possible.
"Pokemon GO to the polls." causes me physical pain to think about.

There is no war in Ba Sing Se.
Basically, except it's indexed and searchable. Somewhere in those books, exists the phrase, "dharma curious updooted glitchington on lemmy" probably many times. But also "dharma curious hated glitchingtons post on lemmy" will also be there somewhere.
No you're acting like we can't use this as a data point when it's the data we have. It may not align apples to apples, but we have a recognizable trend that aligns with/exceeds predictions. I don't see the point in doubting the data we have.
That's what Gamepass is for, keeping you on Microsofts playground. You aren't installing PC games, they essentially provide you with Xbox games and an "emulator" that runs them. It won't be fixed because it heards folks to Windows, as intended.

Supposed to be a wave shooter with satire along the lines of Starship Troopers. Like most games these days, it appears to rely on playing with three friends to be fun. Oh, and their new DRM might have killed Steam Deck/Linux compatibility.
Sure, but only after Bloodborne. The PS4 gem locked to one console matters far more to me than the PS5 remake of a PS3 game that I could emulate no problem.
"I had to suffer, so everyone else should too." is NOT a valid reason to push back against progress.
