It's a mascot for brand recognition purposes, just like Tux the penguin. I don't quite understand what the problem is. I feel like if I were to call anything about it weird, it would be the use of a derpy, chonky dinosaur rather than the gender of said derpasaurus.

I believe the bullet is supposed to be the minute dose and shooting all the fascists would count as administering the dose in massive amounts. They could also just be saying it's a homebrew cure since most of my fellow Americans have guns and like to talk about them using them liberally.

This is correct. Fro what i remember In Surrounded by Idiots he starts with a story about a business owner he knew that used the title phrase to describe his own employees and then uses that to lead into the book which is about connecting with other people, perspective, and empathy.

The book is titled like that because it would resonate with the people that actually believe that and are the ones that really need to read the book.
