forums is all around an infinitely better solution for support and discussions on specific tech and interest. It's also more searchable and less ephemeral. At least reddit and fediverse is better then ephemeral solutions like discord.

But a lot of they man help a type subs aren't so much about men helping men as much as they are about men who have no ability to reflect on themselves complaining to each other how others, usually women or LGBTQ are the cause for their minability to take responsibility for their own actions.
