won't companies respond by just saying "not for sale in Oregon? "

I don't think you have to wait.

Voyager - it was on f droid and it works.

Operating rooms are about to become interesting.

Another case of Democrats not taking action when they had the opportunity.

They haven't read it. They have just heard what is in it from their leaders. Just like the banned books or the Bible.

Somethings ESP32 related. Meshtastic radios, a controller I am building to add some features to my car.

As my lawyer used to tell me, "there is the contract and there is the law." Meaning anyone can say anything in a contract. If you have the legal ability you can find out what the law says about it.

Losing this war is going to get us into a world war.

It appears to have lost all power once, maybe twice.

I have become one. I lost everything in my life four times somewhat involuntarily. The fifth time I did it intentionally.

I think you are correct. A contract requires "consideration." You got nothing for agreeing to the new contract, so I don't think it is legal.

Thanks. I searched for # Driver Board Universal LCD Monitor Screen Controller 5V Laptop Computer DIY

Because I had seen them used for various projects before.

Google maps killed people last year. It used to be that if you navigated to a pin based on lat lon it would geocode the location. Often, in the wilderness this would get geocoded to the center of a very large school district. This led me to being a hundred miles off on one occasion in the Gila wilderness without realizing I had missed where I really intended to go. I am sure this happened to the couple in Nevada that got lost, then got stuck, then got lost and stuck again.

Yes capitalism is failing us but their belief that forcing everyone into their "ism" will lead to utopia is a disingenuous lie.

I used to work. Now the kingdom pays me to just be.

Then head to the court, just to make sure they don't reverse themselves.

I think we all want a government that represents the individual. I think we want the opportunity to contribute to society. I think we want the opportunity for self-betterment. I think we want to be understood by society. But choosing to die on the altar of some "ism" doesn't get us there.

I'm on mobile using Voyager and I can select a user then block user. I can also block a community and block an instance. My block list is huge and growing.

Seems like sharing block lists (similar to ad block) might be a good feature. If I see someone knowing lie or act in bad faith or just generally are unhelpful, unknowledgeable, etc. I block them.

It just needs to to be better than humans, not perfect. That would save lives.

Seems like this is a much more important than any of the other discussions going on. How many results were tainted by the fact that they were compressing a dithered print image.

Beyond just game studios, why aren't there more employee owned companies?

When Starbucks was unionizing I made the comment that if I were the corporation I would just get out and let the employees run it. I got flamed for this attitude. What is so terrible about employee owned companies?

It is my understanding that some smart TVs won't do anything without you connecting and accepting the license agreement.

I've been that dumb twice recently. Just not that rich.

So if anyone is interested I found the answer to my question. There seems to be two standards for LCD panels and there are these cheap converters for both of them.

Ive done it just for fun. It was some time ago. Bought a screen in a frame, a squeegee, tried a couple mask methods but was most pleased with the photosensitive stuff. It is quite fun and results were impressive for the short time I spent on it.

Some smart TVs require you to connect them to the Internet before you can even use them with HDMI. It's a changing world. This post has a lot of interesting comments.

I just started using the public library apps this week. Piracy has gotten too difficult for me recently.

Whooosh

"Of course, livable wages are critical for all individuals, but once reasonable compensation is established, emotional salary can outweigh base salary when it comes to engaging and retaining top talent."

I think this article is explaining why someone making 100k still jumps ship.

You can find out the event from the news, but then get the facts from industry experts. It's much better these days.

Couldn't states go after companies under the Magnuson–Moss Warranty Act instead of writing new state legislation.

I was in a skydiving school one time when their twin otter came back with a piece of plywood stuck in the tail. While looking at the tail one guy said "what are the odds of that; that we would be flying around and hit that random piece of plywood that's up there in the sky." I had to explain that there weren't just random pieces of plywood up in the sky and they needed to look over the airplane to see where that came from. Turns out the emergency hatch on the top had delaminated. The interior panel was still in place but the exterior panel was gone and this plywood piece had stuck in the vertical stabilizer.
