I was way more prepared to waste time being confused by a game back in the day. You occasionally would try stuff for hours. Now if I get stuck 10 mins I start thinking they didn’t play test or design the game well enough haha.

Ha, I was laughing at someone else writing Lenny earlier. Never considered that it was just auto-correct and that I should be careful not to do the same 😅 
Yep. And coloured ledges you can grab, sparkling items to collect… I remember in old Monkey Island games there being no way to visually discern what you could or couldn’t interact with, you’d spend so long just trying things to see what worked.
Been using this for many many years now. If you think you can’t live without Google, give it a go. VERY rare that I actually need to use another search engine for anything.
I think DDG probably has more privacy features overall if you put them side by side, but Ecosia is certainly good enough for me Ecosia - Privacy
I finally finished Final Fantasy VI yesterday (a ROM-hack of the SNES original).
Being a long game, and having already played for 15 hours before losing my progress and starting again, it was a very full-on experience.
I think very soon we’ll look back on virtually everything we’ve done to help the planet/climate as stupid and inadequate sadly.
It was the ROSE “Revised Old Style Edition”. Basically the original game with revised translation and current naming conventions.
Think I initially patched the wrong version of the ROM, and then had some further issues because of that, but got there in the end!
Yeah, having stuff being obvious is actually incredibly freeing. Without that I waste so much time checking every part of every room, trying to work out which corridor leads to the objective vs which one might have collectibles.
Knowing I can just play a game, find most stuff, get on with it, and not regret not using a guide is a real gift.
Glasses. Didn’t have to wear either until I was about 23, don’t mind glasses, and I’m not blind without glasses so it’s not a huge problem times I need to take them off. I like to just buy things rather than have to keep paying money for something.
I’ve only been using Lenny for a day and a half, but I’ve been having a great time. The memes are 10/10 and everything else is coming together nicely. This is already my Reddit replacement, genuinely.
