I never got the account karma thing. Do people really care? All i was fussed about was if a comment I made was interesting to others or not, but that's just fake stupid internet points+dopamine
Hell, outside of my tech circle, people hadn't even heard of Reddit
Not just older/younger groups. There are plenty my age (mid 30) that don't care or have a clue about tech+privacy. The local nursery post totally public photos of the kids to the internet.. yeahhh no I opted out of that and I felt the weirdo. It's not even like I'm tinfoil or anything
Ah yes automated backups, on my to-do which I'll hopefully do before a failure (famous last words). People talking about backblaze b2. I just looked. Why not use the personal one? The one computer would just be the Nas if using it for cold storage/redundancy?
I totally would have gone.
Lemmy makes me think of the Scottish comedian, and also good ol' lemmiwinks
Insert smug "I run YouTube with Firefox with adblock installed" comment here. I've not seen any of the anti block stuff yet
I use adblocker in Firefox mobile. Noticed YouTube keeps downgrading the quality on every video load even tho higher quality is set to auto
Tried feddit.uk myself and never got the email
Archive that shit and never look at it again
I had to go double check what I'm paying. £96 for the middle tier (1080 not 4k I think), this is approx $116... So sounds like you guys were previously on a better deal (assuming same library access)
Even if the difference in version is complicated, it's really bad design to crash an app. Why not catch the error and display something reasonable?
But I'm a boring lurker
