Sorry to read this, I use his scripts and had no idea. Many thanks and well wishes for him and his family.

From a review:

The explorers camping kit is probably the most egregious of the "DLC" So to explain, as you and your pawns battle you take damage, take enough damage and there is a portion of your HP you can't recover with magic or items. So you'll either have to go rest at an inn or find a bonfire to set up camp. To make camp you'll need the camping supplies item, the ones I have found so far are very heavy in weight, which means your party won't have much space for loot. The explorers camping kit DLC will give you 1 camping supply and make the "explorers camping kit" available to purchase within the in-game shops, and it will be much lighter in weight than the normal camping supplies. Capcom have purposely made the experience far more tedious than it need be in their fully priced AAA game so we would spend the extra money on their quality of life DLC.

Fuck this game.

...and now he wants to hobble the IRS as his first priority. Shocker.

Also a date late on my Kathy Bates reference. Drive safe out there y'all.

Couldn't happen to a nicer guy!
Remember Trump trashing his wife and father during the primary a few cycles ago and Ted working the phone bank after being thrashed?
Ted Cruz tearing up while working a phone with Trump/Pence signage on the wall.

My ex-wife and I filed the requisite paperwork and a month or so later met downtown at the courthouse to finalize our petition for a no-fault divorce. We had filled out some of the paperwork incorrectly, scooted over to the law library around the corner and returned less than an hour later to wrap things up, paying a fee so incidental I couldn't be bothered to remember the amount.

No-fault is a near necessity for folks that want to take the high road out of a shitty situation. Going on to think of the massive cost savings, we're left not only with religion to blame for the curtailing of our rights under law, but also perhaps the legal profession that spawned many of these legislators. Fuck them all.

Starting early summer 2025, we’ll be building more personal experiences for you.

Let's just keep it professional Fintech. Thanks for the post OP.

I was certain you had to be joking in this post, holy shit.

Strava has continued to enshittify the app to the point that I'm getting ads after every activity. Anyway, I decided to delete it after yesterday's run and will keep an eye on this project. Thanks!

Rasmussen and it's been a long time coming.

Fuck these cowards, I look forward to their sentencing and less-than-honorable-discharges.

Also, as sensational as the story is it feels like the lede is somewhat buried:

Roetman had succeeded Samantha Holly, who resigned in September as executive director, citing “several obstacles that have made it difficult for me to continue working here” in her resignation letter.

I want to know more about that.

I'm pretty sure it is because he came out hard against Trump.

I don't know the difference and what does contempt mean?

Brilliance personified.

This nonsense is replete here on Lemmy. These purity-test "liberals" are the snake eating its tail and it is more than gratifying to see a strong ally like AOC call this bullshit out. These reprobates do nothing for the Palestinian cause outside of stroking their own lazy egos.

Such liars are in my recent post history and I find myself gladly swatting them down; surely they will defend these selfsame tactics right here where they are laid bare...

How can you be "independent" if you have sponsors? All sponsorships are in the form of unrestricted donations. Board seats and other forms of influence are not for sale.

..per the FAQ.

Yay, more live-service microtransaction bullshit to avoid.

May they find out even harder moving forward. Not many days roll past in which I can honestly imagine Republicans going full Whig, but today is one of them.

Interjecting to add my two pennies. Gen z isn't as consequential here as millennials, (not that they answer unknown numbers.) Young people simply don't vote.

Edit: For the record I'm a xennial and don't answer those calls either.

Frankly, this is to be expected. Are Kotaku's corporate taskmasters not converting the site from a news/investigative portal to a generic stop for game guides?

Edit: answered my own question and it is yes. Yes they are.

While we are here, does anyone know of an open source implementation of a recommendation algorithm? I currently pay for YTM for my family and while it is the Bee's Knees now, I can see the coming enshittification and would like to start planning ahead. Thanks!

If you're not using your pihole as a recursive DNS server that is a natural next step that ties neatly into where you've already gone. Wireguard can also easily run next to it if you want a lightweight VPN for when you're away from your network.

I run a SearXNG instance myself and while it is a fine aggregator, it's important to note what it is and isn't. For instance, Sear does not have a dedicated search index and leans on third party API calls (to indexes such as the aforementioned Google and DDG listings.) This is my understanding, feel free to correct it.

For my money, I like the anonymity that Sear can afford and that it hides the AI bullshit pouring into the UIs. My son and I were talking over the weekend about how unreliable he is finding the move to AI search.

Edit: A list of public SearXNG instances for anyone that doesn't want to spin up their own.

Was traveling last month and just saw Xfinity decided to raise my internet-only bill by 40 bucks a month, and the second charge just went through. Not even an email on the rate increase from what I can tell, just a notification that I got Peacock streaming "included" (a 5.99 value).

Looking forward to the call tomorrow. Any advice outside of staying zen and remembering the human on the other end of the line?

You mean the individuals waiting for the report referenced? I don't think they're going to need convincing nearly as much as you need to pay attention.

Yeah yeah yeah, you got us all figured out seeing as we're not slovenly throwing charged words around while using conspiracy to deflect in our edits.

Maybe people are simply tired of hearing off-topic screeds? Nah, it's the children that are wrong.
