More than I have ever been able to afford for all of my adult life.

Infinity is exactly what I was waiting for.

Same. Can't be fucked to stand. any chance to sit down is welcome. Except on a piss-soaked public convenience.

I just look for new stuff on my feed. Not interested in algorithms. Maybe I'm an edge case.

It's doesn't help with people "tone policing" and picking holes in your general argument. It just adds to the feeling of hostility.

Oh, look. Here comes the pedantry and down votes....

My Japanese parents-in-law were matched by family and parents. Their wedding was the second the they met. They're in their 80s now and still together.

So no, not new.

We probably need to send them much more money so they can solve the problem.

Gandhi. And we'd do it playing Tekken.

This makes me happy

Documentation in the configs is outstanding. Everything is where it should be, file system wise. It doesn't break very often.

"puts his pants on both legs at the same time" guy.

His coup de grĂ¢ce is getting out of bed in the morning.

Because Sigue-Sigue Sputnik were never cool? I love SSS! Bit meta though.

Going back and looking at things like the Max Headroom movie for example. That one was scored by Chris Cross and Midge Ure of Ultravox.

We were all listening to New Wave, synthpop, EBM (Front242). So a lot of electronic music.

We were even, non-ironically, listening to 8-bit chip tune stuff by people like Rob Hubbard, Jochen Hippel and others. You know, pre-demo scene 8-bit games like Jet Set Willy, and latet 16-bit demos and disks passed round

Used Manjaro, it kept breaking. Put Endeavour on my Rpi, zero issues. Now currently running Artix with zero problems.

Use Endeavour if that is a choice, in my opinion.

Forced emotional engagement using children or animals in peril.

Like this guy. Native packages. In the very limited instances I've had to run something "built" it's been an appimage in ~/Downloads which I've later deleted once done with.

Ninja Terminator

I believe these films were made from footage of failed East Asian productions that were bought up and then "finished" by an American company cheap. (The director Godfrey Ho is known to do this apparently.)

There are quite a few Richard Harrison films like this.

A bit like Thunder, all the navigation is horizontal, no voting arrows up the side life jerboa.

Apart from that it's all muscle memory and first impressions probably.

Oysters used to be peasant food. Good luck affording that shit now.

I always defaulted to VLC, though I've recently gone and looked at Audacious.

I just want a smartphone with a built in physical keyboard, like my old Nokia e6.

Used Linux since 2000. Specifically choose distros without sysD. Never written a bash script because of it.

Funny old world.

Use a potassium alum/crystal/mineral deodorant stick, or shaving bar. Used it for years and it works.

Not legal transport in my country. BUT out of the choices of road, pavement or cycle lane, escooters are at less risk and are less danger in a cycle lane.

In my mind and as a cyclist , cyclists would be more likely to manage the presence of scooter riders than motor vehicles or pedestrians.

I was at work and this 11 year old asks "do to know what a meme is?"

"kid we were memeing (meming?) before you were born."

They all dance around in class to "Never gonna give you up". Not sure I should tell them where rick rolling started.

1996-1997, Watched a VHS tape of a Chick Corea concert from the 80s. Cheesy as fuck jazz on stage. Laughing at the bad hair, and dated styling.

Suddenly I'm into jazz and listening to all sorts. Opened me up to some great musicians and great songs.

The same ones who chew soup.

Not the bits in the soup. The soup.

Eternity. Comfy. Nice. Etc.

Tell me about it! Never mind the girlfriend, what if she tells the wife?! NOW you're talking trouble...

I absolutely hate it too, it's unfortunate that users have to jump through hoops editing profiles and css files just to tweak things.

I was going to suggest investigating varieties of tea, but the flavours might not be as bold as some might want.

Coffee. Go down the "which roast", "which grind", "which brew" rabbit hole. There are done stunning coffees out there.

I pay vultr $7 a month so I don't have to fret about 'free' stuff. YMMV

An unrealised cross-over from producer Donald Paul Bellisario would've had Sam Beckett from Quantum Leap leaping into Thomas Magnum from Magnum PI...

First rule of Soulseek....

Bad misquotes aside, it's great. So glad it still exists. Never had a problem, least no problem so far.

Libredirect is really nice. Question: Can it bypass the front page without being turned off, then back on for links opened in tabs etc? Can't work out if it can.
