I’m not sure that’s possible with images being allowed. If Google, Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube all struggle with it I think it will be an issue anywhere images are allowed. Maybe there’s an opening for an AI to handle the task these days but any dataset for something like that could obviously be incredibly problematic

This choice about stripping him or due process or not was made before our time. The 14th amendment says “… engaged in insurrection.” It does not say found guilty of or after a trial. The bar isn’t has lofty as you’re making it seem and it’s been there since 1868, so I’m not sure why it’s suddenly concerning to you.

I feel like there’s a bit of false equivalency too, a state gov retaliating isn’t the same as a federal gov retaliating.

The problem is that this specific election is an election that will decide if we become a Hungrian illiberal democracy or continue being able to vote. If you don’t vote for Biden, and yes this is true, Trump will win because anyone slightly in his direction will vote for him. There will be no write in campaign for Romney. You can’t have change in a system that has had Project 2025 fully implemented.

Money

Yeah a 3080 10GB is a crazy recommended, maybe the recommended specs are to play at 4k60?

That is not an ok amount of power for one person to have

Yessssssss another excuse to watch more One Piece

Personally a major problem I have with YouTube premium is when they launched it they took some quality of life features from the free side and moved them to premium. If they didn’t do that I’d probably have premium

Left and right aren't authoritarian or libertarian. The soviets were authoritarian and that’s why that happened. There’s no case to be made for equality and sharing resources to be a bad thing that could lead to something like that. It’s a problem with the implementation mainly the concentration of power that allowed authoritarianism. On the far right you have racism and suppression of “others” which clearly can lead to a nasty place very quickly.

That sounds pretty unethical

I’ve gotten so used to 60 fps that if I play below 60 it makes motion sick

I had the exact same pattern as you except I was born in a small town in 1996, I guess I had a gophone in 2nd grade just because my family situation though

Not great, work is dumb and micromanaging is a pain

Same. I’m in a bootcamp and college and I have 3 years experience being a sys admin for the gov. I think there’s a serious chance I’ve been rejected for every tech job on the internet.

At the very least with this approach when he’s found guilty there will be no argument for impropriety or unfair treatment that could be used to get him out.

Not to compare the two in terms of what they aim to accomplish, but The New Deal was largely the same

Just because something is true for a long time doesn’t make it false. Just because you see a train moving doesn’t mean it’s going to stop if you just stand on the tracks

You're still not acknowledging the fact that the amendment doesn’t say if you’re convicted in a court of law, which we’ve seen is too slow anyway, it says if you engaged in insurrection. Which has nothing to do with being convicted especially when anyone that is reasonable can see the goal of J6 was to keep Trump in power. You cannot tolerate that behavior and keep a republic. I’m not saying to toss Trump in jail I’m just saying he shouldn’t be allowed to hold office because he clearly meets the standard set in the constitution by the voters.

I’m confused, I thought the junta was pro-China and the rebels weren’t pro-China?

Have you seen American news? Were on the fast track to electing a guy who lead a coup and said he wanted to be a dictator

There were witnesses who testified. I am unclear if there was a jury or not, but according to president scotus won’t disagree with that he engaged in insurrection.

What did Brave do to you?

I get it, min wage is awful right now. I think it’s a lost cause though. We might be better off considering other options for now

I disagree. The language obviously applies to the president and that take you’re citing essentially says “yes the president can attempt a coup it’s fine” which is just nuts. If you want to move the bar to conviction you need an amendment.

I’m sure the mods saw that, and it’s really more of a question for them tbh, but if it works for other Lemmy instances I’m not sure why it wouldn’t work here.

You can catch stardew on sale on steam at a similar price point. It’s only $15, US, normally.
