I got a kickass drill press. May not seem that interesting but when you step in front of that puppy, fire it on, crank that lever down and put holes of all sizes in any and everything that's not bolted to the ground, you feel the raw power and adrenaline pumping through your veins. Your conciousness is immediately elevated to that of a hindu goddess and you begin to lift from the ground, effortlessly floating 2 inches off the ground as all turns bright white extending into infinity. Also, your wife gets super pissed.

So, I'm from Baraboo. Though I haven't lived there in well over 10 years now, I still have friends and family who reside there still. The day after this happened, the video was already making its rounds in our various discord servers, getting texts from family members with the original video link and it was all around big deal. Everyone was fucking pissed at this guy and there were soooo many people in my circles that wanted to see him named, shamed and royaly buttfucked by the court of public opinion. It didn't take long at all for someone to go, "hey, I know that guy. He works at so and so" and I'm happy to see that the cat is out of the bag here. It seems he has been fired. His employer is well aware at this point and have scrubbed all mention of him from their website.

The one and only way to unfuck my hometown's garbage residents is to hang them out to dry in public and I'm glad this is national news. When someone wants to pull some racist shit, let it be known that we're gunna make sure their racist bullshit will be put on display for all the world to see and the consequences shall be their's and their's alone to bare for their stupid bullshitery. Baraboo is such a cute little town but GODDAMN some of these motherfuckers are an embarrassment to our town, our state and our county.

I'm certainly no A2 lovin back the blue gun nut but if there's any group that I feel completely fine with having guns, it's the president's secret service. These folks are held to the highest standards with the highest training guarding arguably the most important political figure in the world. They are not your average frumpy ass cop with a drinking problem and anger management issues. These sneaky fuckers are hand picked from the best of the best. You never hear about the secret service gunning someone down because they were just in a bad mood that day.

I work in the film business. Im one of the on set tech worker bees and the thing that annoys me most in movies is making them. What a shit industry. In the past +5 years of so, it has really gone down Hill. I'm an IATSE member and year after year these big studios have taken everything from us, refused to give reasonable raises, even if only to keep up with inflation, and the daily production demands get bigger and bigger, putting so much pressure on the crews. On top of all that, they brag about setting record profits every year while pretending to be shooting a huge film on a shoestring budget. I hate it and I've been trying to get into another industry but it's so hard. It's hard for me to enjoy movies anymore because I'm so resentful. I work on the big big stuff too so it's not like I'm getting screwed over my little indie shit stain prod cos. These are the jobs people dream of and it's not what you think it is and everyone hates it once they get here. It's not the work itself though, it's those you work for. Ignorant peanut counters and the precious shareholders ruin everything.

Hand jobs are a no go, unfortunately.

I left reddit when RIF was shut down because of that "no API for you" bulltrash. I found lemme.world and it was like the clouds parted and a warm sunbeam shine down upon my cold, wet, and shivering body. It's like reddit was in 2010 when I first became a daily user... but better in some ways. Smaller community, which will be interesting to watch grow as the years pass, everyone already here still trying to figure out how it can be made better and generally filling up with long time reddit users completely fed up with that corperate, ad riddled cesspool the site turned out to be. Is lemme.world perfect? No way and far from it... but that's okay. There's a really good bunch of dedicated computer smart folks (not me as one could imagine) continually working to mold and shape it into something that fills that dark hole left in the world of social media caused by the requirement for corperate suits needs to shove ads and propaganda down our throats between every blink we make.

Anyways, it sounds like the response he got were likely caused by some flavor of antagonist, rage baiting posts intentionally made to stir up said responses. I'm sure this is a win for lemme.world.

FONV and Skyrim. Even with mods, FONV looks like microwaved dog shit. Im mot even a huge graphics nut but at a point it becomes too distracting and FONV goes far beyond that. Skyrim's sluggish movements keep me completely disengaged, although the graphics don't throw me off quite as much, it feels so outdated that the immersion is ruined right from the very start.

I'm 38 and easy modes are made for people like me. I usually dont have the time, attention or patience required by some games to even have a fighting chance in game progression (looking at you FromSoft) I don't regularly use easy mode as it does make many games trivially easy but sometimes it's just enough where I can enjoy the story, explore a beautiful and imaginative world and see it through to the end without the bullshit. I usually have no desire to be a hard-core veteran of a game's mechanics but I still want to play the game. If people don't like it, we'll, I'm still 38 and dont give a shit what others think anymore. Just take my $60 and entertain me.

Tool has been my favorite band for ~25 years now. I've been a fan through nearly their entire history and if there's one thing that's been a consistent element of the band, it's that MJK is a fucking prick. No two ways about it. He's a little shit with a HUGE ego and he's just not a pleasant human. Creative as hell and damn good at what he does but a massive massive dick head. He's not the reason I like Tool though and I wouldn't even call myself an MJK fan, I dislike him in a lot of ways but when it comes to him, Danny, Adam and Justin laying down some badass fuckin jams, no one does it for me like Tool. Danny and Adam especially. They are the core of Tool for me and I think MJK gets waaaaay too much credit for the band.

Theres 5 strings between the guitar and bass and it's still a masterpiece. So much sound for such a minimalist approach to their instruments. Kitty is a supreme banger.

Fun challenge of the day: read everything in the voice of Terrence McKenna. It makes other people's comments much more interesting, mystic almost... like, imagine McKenna reading you recipes or the terms and conditions of a Dollar General coupon or whatever.

Worst MMO Ever is incredible. The time and attention he spends deep diving into truly terrible MMOs is an artistic labor of love. I could never do it but I sure enjoy watching him do it for me.

This is the sure-fire solution. Before I left Reddit when the API bs went down (RIP RIF), I had already filtered out all the popular and simipopular political and adjacent subs. It change my Reddit experience and overall frustration levels immediately and all for the better. I still got the news I wanted here and there but without that dumbass antagonistic shithole that's the comments section. Anyway, good riddance, Reddit.

The best I can ever do is learn more about the universe we live in. I don't think we may ever have concrete answers for any of those questions. We may not even be asking the right questions to begin with. Science youtube channels scratch that inch for me though. PBS Space Time, Astrum, SEA and Arvin Ash's channel are some of my favorites. Content a bit more in depth than the most basic but presented in a way a smooth brain like myself can mentally digest.

I absolutely LOVE BG3. Currently in my 3rd play through (as The Dark Urge this time... amazing) and the one and only thing I feel they did a bad job on is their inventory system. They put in the alchemy pouch and camping supplies backpacks but nothing else at all to help manage anything else. You can switch between item categories but it's really not enough when there are so many items for so many different aspects of game play that even those are not an effective way to manage anything in a meaningful and semi organized way. And the custom/item hot bars need to work exactly like DoS/2 bc rn they just dont cut it. DoS2 had a Inventory container upgrade but it was shit bc you had to move the items out of their bags to use them for crafting/hot bar so this inventory issue has been a problem for Larian for a long time. Larian is the gold standard for game development studios and i have nothing but respect for them but they need to get their shit together with their inventory seeing as it's a HUGE part of the game play.

If you use android, Youtube Vanced is your answer. I haven't seen a single ad on youtube in years. It even skips the sponsorship segments if you want it to.

Oh man. I love to be tinkering in my workshop on whatever project I got going, listening to music, singing to myself and hitting some fresh ganja. THEN, and the wife's favorite part... I get to cooking a kickass dinner. I only like to drink a light beer and starting in the afternoon. By 5pm, I'm 4-6 deep, big time stoned and chef Emerald is in the house baby! I stick to water after that because if I go to bed all drinky, I'll feel like shit the following day. I dont like listening to other drunks or their shitty ass music when I'm feeling the vibe so i almost exclusively drink when I'm having me time/alone, able to tune my system up/wife not home yet and its sunny outside. That is a perfect day for me. It doesn't happen often but when it does... man I really enjoy it.

I used to have a major problem with alcohol in my 20's and it caused me untold damage. I quit partying for a good number of years to get my shit together and regroup. Now, I can actually enjoy it without going way overboard and making choices and actions that severely negatively impact my existance, it's an entirely different thing for me now. Moderation and a little bit of discipline did me a world of good.

I love em'. Better than anything else on TV imo. I love a full breakdown of an analog horror ARG or an internet mystery rabbit hole deep dive. And usually because ots just one dedicated creator with no deadline/boss/focus group/format to appease, they have so much more character, charm and uniquenes.. There's no studio who could hold my attention with the cookie cutter slop on any of the streaming platforms.
