Our ability to self govern is non-existent. We can't even put shopping carts in the return carousel. We definitely won't take gun ownership seriously.

While that might be true, it's also true that the majority of his previous staff at OpenAI are standing up and defending him. That's saying something.
It's a nice workaround for sure, but the only thing I don't like is that it auto-updates. If I click on a post and then go back to the list, the post is gone. I wish it only hid the post until I manually refreshed the page.
Of course I won't, but, the beauty of this is that you can just create another community in another instance. That way, my giraffe viewing party continues no matter where they reside.

Then what happens when the owner of the giraffe instance goes all Spez on us?
Too much control is a bad thing. Let people spread those communities across all instances, otherwise I'll be asking:
