If a party is consistently a close third or even second in some opinion polls, the media HAS to cover them more. Not only to be representative, but also to scrutinise.

It's not wrong, to be fair.

If only someone could have foreseen such a problem arising. 🤔

And yet, after joining Lemmy and Mastodon, I post a lot more.

"Sorry your gran's dead, but you can get YouTube Premium for £12.99 a month for an ad-free experience."

Well, this blows the "if you've not done anything wrong, you have nothing to worry about" argument out of the water.

The "fighting terrorism" argument didn't work, so this is their new angle.

Well, it's computer software, so it can't be non-binary.

It probably won't, but it keeps Musk in the news.

I don't understand why people want to take down websites. Especially sites like Lemmy, which isn't exactly sticking it to anyone because no one owns it!

Are they just Reddit groupies?

And still people are crying about this.

You can literally change to another instance. That's the entire point of the Fediverse. If you don't like a decision the admin has taken, you can move elsewhere.

The entitlement of some people these days is ridiculous.

I just saw this on Mastodon and was about to post it here. 😄

Pretty cool idea. Though I'm not looking forward to trying to convince my friends to switch to yet another new platform. 😂

Wouldn't it be easier to list ones who aren't overrated?

I really don't understand the popularity of the "big" YouTubers. PewDiePie being the prime example from a few years ago, though I don't think he's still making videos.

The entitlement is ridiculous, especially when you can easily switch to another instance and the "problem" is solved. If this was a corporate site, that would be impossible to do.

But obviously that's too much work and it's easier to just be a crybaby.

What a shocker that Black Friday is all a marketing scam.

Amazon are the worst for it. Instead of reducing the prices of their products, they will often just add the RRP next to the existing price and claim that it's 35% off or whatever, even though they've actually only knocked about £5 off the price it was already.

Ads or subscription.

Yeah, I'll stick with Thunder. Having used Lemmy and Mastodon, I realised how much I hate ads.

The internet being a "place" you would go to and then leave.

That's almost impossible to do now because everything is so linked to being online.

NASA+ will be available on most major platforms via the NASA App on iOS and Android mobile and tablet devices; streaming media players such as, Roku, Apple TV, and Fire TV; and on the web across desktop and mobile devices.

What's the betting it won't be on LG's WebOS though? 😭

Ah, the easy days of being an obnoxious asshat while mum and dad buy your expensive tech for you.

"One commenter pointed out that the amount of work needed to complete such a contract equates to a full-time job."

Oh, the humanity.

It saved me a click, I guess.

I just don't understand what the top brass at Reddit are hoping to achieve with these changes.

I mean, they're universally hated. What's the goal here?

What? You mean actually be a responsible parent?

Don't be silly.

Are there people out there who are not factory resetting their phones before they trade them in?

...what?

I'm not even disabled, but as soon as I see these I close the website.

I haven't got time to faff around solving some stupid puzzles just to log in to my account.

I've not been on either platform long enough to use the DMs, but this is a good point.

After all, DMs aren't actually private on either platform, as far as I'm aware.

Wow.

Almost three years into a new console generation, but let's port it to a 10 year-old console instead.

There is no purpose in life. Like others have said, the fact that we're all here and life exists at all is entirely an incredible accident. As that's the case, how could we have any inherent purpose?

The endless pursuit of a purpose can actually make you more unhappy.

I had to Google this because I didn't believe it was a real product.

Why on Earth would you buy one of these? You can literally wipe your phone screen with a microfibre cloth and you can buy a bunch of them for about £2.

Being pro-Palestine is so trendy at the moment that some people will unthinkingly parrot any rhetoric that criticises Israel, even if it's horrific anti-semitic remarks like these.

The Lemmy devs are a bunch of tankie weirdos, so I'm definitely not going to give money to them.

Remember, the government are doing this for your benefit.

There's definitely no other reason behind it. No sir.

Normalised by America, maybe.

Outside of it, we're all wondering what the fuck is going on.
