@akacastor Yep its really unique and a rare thing to see
But unfortunately the channel is dead since a year ago
@akacastor Yep its really unique and a rare thing to see
@perishthethought I use dbgl and dosbox but a few years ago i used to play duke nukem 1 through a source port for windows
Thanks. It looks like you are fan of the Roland MT-32 so here's a playlist: https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLCvTY9\_qr45p5pwRKkhG2sp470sa5H-G6&si=Er-eZRO3WxO4apST
@ren Yes its for enjoyment and as a content creator i want to make IBM PC Speaker music (Or 1-Bit music in general) more popular
I tried linux but i wasn't satisfied so i'm fine with windows. Maybe if ReactOS has finally reached beta i might consider switching the os. And yes the old pc is the only one i have i really wish i get a new pc soon
Edit: Since my old pc sucks so much i kinda always borrow my dad's pc which is massively better than mine
Yes PWM is used to play amiga-like quality pcm samples. The ZX Spectrum beeper cannot play amiga-like pcm samples because the Z80 cpu is not as powerful as the Intel 8088 (And also the fact that the ibm pc had what is called the Intel 8253 PIT which is a dedicated chip for the IBM PC Speaker also helps. And also the intel 8253 PIT has a "programmable one-shot" mode which is what the game Skweek is using)
@rnd Okay
@nilloc Okay now i know
@TurianHammer The IP that i want Microsoft to revive is: True Crime,TimeShift,Soldier of fortune,Singularity,Prototype,Interstate Series,Hexen,Gun,Geometry Wars
@perishthethought You're Welcome
@useless_modern_god You're welcome
@useless_modern_god You're welcome
@useless_modern_god I thought the word OC meant that i made the content by myself therefore i have to mark it as OC to let the user know that im the one made the content not someone else. Or i misunderstood what OC really means?
@perishthethought I don't think duke nukem 1 had music its only sound effects
@Redkey It is indeed a nice flex that the ibm pc speaker had
What?
A Windows PC app version will improve performance since it doesn't have to run under a web browser like FreeTube
@Marsupial Yep the movie is the inspiration for this game. It even includes a free VHS of the full movie inside the game's box
@FlashMobOfOne Thanks
@ThrowawayPermanente What's Danger Zone?
@ThrowawayPermanente Okay now i know
@Quexotic Thanks
@MrJameGumb Yep its really good to listen to that part
Dude i literally have a shitty old pc with a socket 775 pentium 4 and 3 gb of ddr2 ram and geforce 210 and rans on windows 7 enterprise 64 bit. That lags so hard on youtube with an old version of firefox 91.10.0esr (32 Bit). But on FreeTube it ran decently still a bit choppy in some places but its okay
@billwashere I partially agree with you because the music is decent but there is still a huge room for improvement. Especially when a game like this: https://youtu.be/DSvj3Hjxiic?si=1\_XE9D\_Wuoa8aihz Has far surpasses it in terms of 1-Bit IBM PC Speaker Music
@sagrotan Thanks
@whaleross Okay but i only do it once a day
Microsoft should have made a guide on how to install ReactOS instead
@useless_modern_god Since i made the video itself i will of course mark it as OC if this wasnt my video then i would not mark it as OC. But anyways i'm a pc elitist and i love 1-bit music (Or maybe more specifically ibm pc speaker music) and i recognize about how popular 8-bit music is even though 1-bit music is more retro than 8-bit music so i want to spread attention about 1-bit music and also ms dos/pc booter music (IBM PC Speaker, Tandy 3 Voice, Creative Music System, etc) is not as popular as nes, c64, sms, amstrad cpc, zx spectrum, atari st, msx,etc music.
