Have been using Antennapod on Android for some months now. It is by far the best app I have used. Feature rich and no ads is the best one can hope for.

As a non technical user that has switched to Ubuntu from Windows, Linux is light years ahead. Any os without a decent package manager like apt or flatpak is unusable for me and that's without mentioning the ads...

Nothing wrong with Cinnamon per se, I was just using it back in 2012 or so. It was much more frustrating to use FOSS back then and some of the bitterness has stayed with me I guess. The same is true for Mate...
