This was just one of the front end links for ZLibrary, and it’s so distributed that it’s not difficult to get around with other links. This has been going on for a bit with the US Government seizing its front end links.

Other sites are serving similar purpose now and if you’re interested they are at the http://lemmy.dbzer0.com/c/piracy community.

Think of how stupid the average person is, and realize half of them are stupider than that.

Why would you want to be behind the heated seats? Seems like it’d be warmer on the seat, not to mention that there’s no 3rd row in a Tesla so you’d be in the trunk…

Look, I know you don't know me, but you have to believe what I'm about to tell you. Sometime in your future, I get stationed here in Blood Gulch and we meet. And this guy here, he gets promoted to Sergeant of the red army and we spy on them. And they get this new jeep and I'm all like, "There is no way you can pick up chicks in a tank!"

I hear those things are awfully loud.

“I’ve never abused or borne witness to anyone abusing their title,” she said.

Wanna know how I know she’s never met a chiropractor?

We need you to go to the store and get two quarts of elbow grease… and, uh, pick up some... headlight fluid for the Puma too.

Like these goldfish won’t turn right back around at the drop of the hat.

That was my take too. Their overall point wasn’t bad but the start was a complete non sequitur that made me question if I wanted to finish because it’s a bad foundation for their actual argument.

The Simpsons did an episode where a monorail salesman tries to sell Springfield on installing a monorail, and there’s a song somewhat evoking the 76 Trombones scene from the musical The Music Man by Meredith Wilson. Mine and other comments are lyrics from that song.

It uses OpenLibrary and Inventaire as it’s sourced apparently. I don’t know if it contributes upstream though.

I just wish it had a Calibre plugin, I tend to forget to update services like these and rely on syncing with calibre to do it for me.

Seems like a simple acronym to me:

Everyone Do Your Thing, Just Episode Downloads (for) Home & Great Movie Downloads. Happy Media.

Back when I was playing a bunch of Oblivion, I was doing the quest to find Nirnroot (Seeking Your Roots). I was spending so much time looking for them I started seeing them in real life out of the corner of my eye everywhere (it was usually actually thistle). I’d have to stop and look because I knew it was important, before my brain would kick in and I’d realize that it was from Oblivion.

I hear this guy is super excited

Prehistoric you say?

“…[Y]ou lack a basic understanding of the law, … and ethic[s]…”

Not taking away from her stunning writing, but this shorter version wouldn’t be wrong either.

Do you have a place to post when we find significant discounts on ebooks?

If only there were limits on the speech and debate clause…

The ideal would have to be some sort of AI translation. The problem is that PDF is a page layout format and EPUB is a reading format and you can’t just extract the text without understanding what parts are affected by page layout, think of reading by columns for example. And you would need to train the AI on what’s unnecessary for reading comprehension

I’m not sure I like the implication of the forks being “brushes”. I thought knives were the sole cutlery of the bathroom.

Disillusioned “open minded” republicans like my brother for one. He was telling me that Dems should run him to appeal to anti-Trump Republicans to prevent Trump from winning. He’s a pretty smart guy who somehow got convinced that JAQing off is a good basis for philosophical thought and denies that he has any firm beliefs and is open to anything that he thinks sounds convincing.

Thank you. I have had a meme in my head in a fuzzy half-remembered state all day and couldn’t pin down what it was. And it was 100% Chargin’ mah Laser.

I do appreciate how the very first memes to my recollection were the shock memes (lemonparty, goatse, tubgirl) but not too long after memes and meme culture really exploded with much more wholesome ones like this, rickrolling, chocolate rain, and numa numa kid (thought that didn’t stop asshats from bullying people like the Star Wars kid).

So basically if I understand correctly, AI porn of: Emma Watson - Bad Hermione Granger - A-OK

Seems potentially problematic.

I think I understand where you made the mistake, it’s not red dit, I think it’s supposed to be re ddit. It’s where they “did it” again (or “re did it”) but like All those other early 2000’s sites they just dropped a vowel so it’s just re ddit.

Hungry Shark, do do dodododo…

They shouldn’t have had storage issues, they were never going to host images or communities. They simply were an instance that only federated with nsfw instances so all could be only porn.

DOMOtivational poster?

I’m torn. While I highly support right to repair, I also support measures that make high-value theft targets like cellphones and catalytic converters worthless or extremely hard to convert to a payout.

The Music Factory? I guess this really is one of those Things That Make You Go Hmmm...

If it’s replies to a post of mine I upvote virtually everything. If something is so incorrect is borderline misinformation or so off topic that there’s no connection to the thread, I downvote. If it’s really insightful that I think more people should read it, I upvote.

As soon as it’s released, I’ll be on the public beta and am happy to help test if you’d be interested.

I love Joe. And even though its last update was a while ago, it’s still my preferred editor.
