It's not, basic functionality has been lost, and instead of completing your requests, it initiates a search/conversation.

A few commands did work and it routed it through Assistant, but after failing my daily tasks I promptly uninstalled.

Use sunshine plus moonlight, it's a much better solution. You can make it even better on deck with Moondeck plugin.

I've had issues with remote play for years and it never gets any better nor do they really add any new features to it.

Excited that we got native controls for undervolting!

Personally, I've been asking for this for years. Very excited to see this mostly for ublock origin. But there are a few other extensions I use daily that I'd like to have available.

Should be the 3 dot button according to the actual article.

For one, the streaming actually works, that's an immediate win. HDR is also present. Image quality is better at the same bitrate.

But to your other points, This is my phone connected through cellular.

Remote install I was not aware that steam remote play could do, that's a pretty nice feature! Streaming big picture mode and choosing a game to download is easy enough though.

Steam big picture is there by default, and your whole steam library is there. You can add games manually too, but personally I use big picture for my steam library and playnite for everything else. Plus the games that were scanned through GeForce experience were automatically imported, not sure if that'll be the case going forward though. But they do have an import script.

Edit: not sure how it appears to others, on my device it just shows a picture and not the text I input, it's my phone on cellular showing you can connect outside the same LAN.

You may already know, but just wanted to report that the megathread is down.

Edit: Back up

Not sure if it carried over or if it was included with the update, but I do still have the full suite. I was curious about this myself. The bios got wiped with the update, so I can only assume that it was included.

I used to. I used Firefox as my daily browser for about 10 years. Desktop use there really isn't any significant difference, but I find the mobile experience for edge to be better.

I check in on Firefox every six months or so, and while feature parity is mostly there, the way they implemented the features just don't feel right? Like they're kinda backwards sometimes? It's hard to put into words, but they are different, and I prefer the way they function in edge.

Definitely not just you. Steam remote play just displays a green screen for me whenever I connect. I can't get it to work without compromising quality.

Not out yet, releases on the 25th! This is the most impatient I've ever been for a game lol

Here's hoping they make a great product. I usually like to wait till a 3rd Gen product before jumping in, but I'm missing the versatility my Galaxy fold 3 had. Love my pixel 7 pro too, really looking forward to getting the best of both worlds.

I'm writing this on a Pixel 7 Pro

So my android journey started with the moto G4 plus when I decided I was tired of giving my iphones to my mom every time she broke hers.

I loved that device because it was really simple and bear bones. Stock android if you will, with just a few extra features that were really nice Quality of Life features. That's what set me on the path towards a pixel after a handful of different brands.

Pixel 4 XL was my first pixel. The big draw for me was the face unlock and the stock experience. At the time, the new spam blocking features from Google assistant were important to me as well. I switched to that after the essential phone brand was officially dead.

Absolutely loved it, so much so that I got my dad a 4a when it released. It was dead simple for him to learn at 60 coming from an iPhone 5. So much that when COVID happened and we switched to masks, I was petty enough to pick up the pixel 5 for the fingerprint scanner (which my dad now has).

I strayed for about a year. I picked up the Galaxy Fold 3 at launch and it was mostly nice. I had so many bad experiences with Samsung, but this was pleasant if not a bit bloated. But I missed the simplicity, I missed the themeing, I missed the Google features.

So around the 10 month mark, my fold inner screen popped off and after having it replaced I put it for sale and bought a Pixel 6 pro second hand. I was skeptical at first because of the bad reviews, but it was a fantastic device in the end. I gifted that to my girlfriend and switched her from iPhone and picked up the Pixel 7 pro.

I always come back to the simpler android, but the pixel flavor is just something special. I've never witnessed any of the issues that people suggest that they have in their reviews. It just flows so well in my experience. I'll be looking forward to trying out a pixel fold when they get to a 3rd generation or so.

I love the simplicity, I love the extra features that Google assistant packs in, most of them are now bundled into the apps as opposed to just being locked to a pixel phone. My favorite part is that they're affordable (Comparatively). I'm glad to see that in Android 14 the best of the Samsung features are being implemented.

Best guess I have is to install home, run MAS again to activate a pro key, upgrade to pro inside windows.

Probably a better way, but that one should work. I was able to upgrade from home to pro this way.

That's not even all of them that I listed lol thankfully I've only ever paid full price for one.

I understand that for sure. This is the reason personally I don't buy a brand unless it's on at least it's 3rd generation.

I'm glad you're having a good experience with the same s9! I'm my experience, Samsung was the brand for me that had bad longevity. Of course it's all device to device though.

So after sitting down and setting it up, I found that on my setup the script above didn't work for my machine. I had to set up my own scripts that specified the path of the executable, and then I used a command that toggles the monitor instead, it worked much better that way.

But scripting aside, now that it's working, it is beautiful! Set it up for my living room TV to be a 4k 120hz virtual monitor.

Like a dragon infinite wealth, one of my favorite franchises and it runs very well on deck.

It's working on lemdro.id

I'm not sure if I did this right, but here it is! This is the script to run on moonlight launch, just reverse the numbers for your script to run on moonlight exit.

The instructions above worked well with the exception of the script. Make sure that the iddsampledriver folder is on the root of the C: drive. and make sure that Multimonitortool is inside that folder.

You'll have to switch the numbers in the script with your monitor values. You'll get those from MultiMonitorTool. Open MMT, right click on your monitor, click properties, and the value you're looking for is under "Name"

@echo off

:: Path to MultiMonitorTool.exe set "MultiMonitorToolPath=C:\IddSampleDriver\MultiMonitorTool.exe"

"%MultiMonitorToolPath%" /disable \.\DISPLAY1 "%MultiMonitorToolPath%" /enable \.\DISPLAY21 "%MultiMonitorToolPath%" /setprimary \.\DISPLAY21

It was better than the first day when I tried it, but still not fully functional, I've moved back to Google Assistant again. It doesn't do all of the "Home" commands and it struggles with setting up calendar events and reminders.

When you asked the answer was yes, but, then after a day or two they actually force enabled WITHOUT the app being installed. At least for me and a few others online.

That's why I check back in every so often. I would love for it to be my main browser again, but they just have to polish those rough edges a little more.
