Yeah, twice this month. It's taken me through a dirt road (where we got stuck in the mud) and a closed road. Its also told me to turn at places where I cannot or where I must not. I've also checked that the car directions are selected and not "bike" or something else.

Made me chuckle too, there's certain slapstick to it.

More like an amazon product title

How much disk space have you got??

This is the best option, I agree. This way you have a dedicated disk for linux and you can copy your data from the old drive.

Still, backup your data if you're doing any of this.

You might be right, Lemmy is not for the masses... I would consider myself a tech nerd, privacy enthusiast and shitposter; so migrating from Reddit was the best thing to ever happen to me. This place feels like a real home where I can share my interests with people who are incredibly helpful, kind and passionate about what they do. This place is a heaven for people trying to escape corporate and mass media. And I agree with you, Lemmy is a failed Reddit alternative, because it's not a Reddit alternative, I don't see it like that anymore. People here are genuine, I love that <3

Poor grammar/orthography

Is this an original idea or did you hear a car going wyeeeeeeaaaaaa and then decided that you wanted to do the same?

In any case, I commend your endeavour, good luck sir.

You know, I'm in a constant battle with bootloaders. I've both deleted grub multiple times and windows boot manager by accident and by believing "I could fix it by re-generating it"... More like re-installing.

I mean "EU" is spanish for "USA" (Estados Unidos) and it's a bit disorienting to me when I read the news in my native language as I always read it as "European Union"

Lmao, this is very clever

I would recommend that you watch some of the videos from the youtube channel Philosophy Tube. She's very good at explaining things and perhaps you'll find some answers in her videos. Here's a link to the channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC2PA-AKmVpU6NKCGtZq_rKQ

She's got an amazing video about the struggles of the trans community with the healthcare system where she addresses gender dysmorphia. It's definitely a must watch.

I completely agree with you there, Lemmy is its own thing. People are nice and respectful, communities are more constructive and less competitive, mods actually like what they're doing; the "vibe" is completely different here. No karma or awards incentives, pure cooperation and real social interactions.

We're open source! open hearts and open arms!

Have you tried QOwnNotes? I think it's pretty good

What instance is your other account in?

Some servers don't allow nsfw, it could be the case of lemy.world But others do, lemynsfw.com

It's my surname "translated" to japanese: "Del Castillo" --> "和地城乃"

It roughly translates to "From the peaceful land/dirt castle". I also chose those kanji for the phonetics. "Dehl kasteejo" -> "Kazuchijō No"

Castillo : Castle 城 (jō) : Castle

Hey there 00's brother!

You could dual boot and access your documents from linux by mounting your windows partition. Don't forget to backup your data before you do anything, especially if this is your first time doing this.

(Spanish):
Mi lengua materna es el español.

(English):
I speak English as my second language.

(Russian?):
When I was in highschool I started learning russian, but since then I've forgotten most of it, I can only say hi, good (morning/afternoon/evening) and other easy things. I don't have a russian keyboard but it's 'Privyet', 'Dobraye utra', 'Dobrij bchyer', 'Spakoinai nochi', 'Spasiba', 'Izvinitye, ya nye ponimayu, ya nye goborit po-russkij', 'ya nichyevo nye snayu'.

I'm currently using VSCodium too, why did you switch? What's the appeal? Would you recommend them?

When scrolling down on lemmy there is a chance you'll find the same meme posted three times one after another, published on different sub-lemmys within aproximately 4 minutes of each other :0

I heard they were thinking of switching to * whispers * "the comie" side :0

Are you suggesting that they are individuals? I mean, have you ever seen every Reddit user in the same room? Exactly! they are all the same 3 people replying to themselves (or so they seem to me).

Can we do vans now? xd

Work on yourself :D Do things that you like, go out with friends, pickup a new hobby. You know, people come and go, you'll have yourself until you die

It's just music, a task manager, pretty green cascading letters and good ol' neofetch. I'm using audacious as a music player with the custom winamp classic skin because nostalgia. But you're right, nothing of real productive value was accomplished here.

I think we are just a bit biased and disconnected from the general user.

You see, the problem is not that the bot is generally useless. It's just that bots are not 'useful' to you in particular (and to most Lemmy users as of today). Most of the people using this particular website are used to reading a lot of technical (and non-technical) stuff and therefore, are generally good at understanding most computer and internet concepts, which is something I cannot say for the general population outside of these circles. Imagine the old lady trying to buy something on the 'interweb' or people who are just not particularly computer literate or 'tech savy'.

In your case, you mention a bot giving you an answer that you yourself were too lazy to look-up. I'm pretty sure lot's of people don't know where to search and/or don't even bother reading/searching answers to their problems.

See? You just read a whole comment from a stranger because you were curious.

Edit: In reality I agree with you, bots are incredibly frustrating and I do not have any evidence to them ever being helpful, I just wanted to entertain a different idea.

We reached peak comedy in the 90's

This proves that after months, perhaps even years of modern meme research, we've arrived at the same conclusion that mr bean arrived back in the nineties.

May this serve as a reminder, fellow citizens: mr bean under a beam is the ultimate joke. People in the nineties were far ahead of their times and predicted modern meme culture. In fact, I believe they discovered the fundamental natural laws of comedy. Who knows what other complex and arcane theories they have hidden in plain sight. For this banger of a meme to be nothing but the intro to mr bean means we have more years, perhaps decades of research to achieve a fraction of the raw comedical output of the 90's

Need we worship and pray to these old gods, for their art that's been lost to time to return to us, perhaps from the heavens, descending illuminated, through a thin ray of light, packaged for our modern taste in a metal container meant for legumes, handed to us mortals by a god that resembles us, wearing a suit, and a tie, holding a stuffed bear as to not cause fear, but hope and happiness in our hearts.

"Do not fear" may he say, not through words, but through an exaggerated facial expression resembling a wide-eyed smile.

"Here's your beans"

I have it and was born exactly in 2000

And I'm not white (which seems to be a recurrent pattern)

I think this would work better as a poll. If you make one please let me know!

Do you mean it's not called "Helados Holanda"????

Maybe it's doing that so that the comment doesn't appear at the top

"Something which has never occurred since time immemorial..."

I would be more involved with my community. I like teaching, so I'd teach english, basic computer skills, reading, I'd even do some tutoring and share my knowledge of vegetable gardening.

I think this is due to the fact that we've become a more sensible and empathetic society recently. We have access to more education, mental health, etc. We have a better understanding of the importance of childhood as a developing phase for human beings, and just how vulnerable children are.

I mean, sixty-seventy years ago, the US still had apartheid; that's how much we have changed as a society (I'm not american, but there have been many cultural and social movements all over the world)
