OK I feel really stupid asking this. I have a app installed on my android phone called */kbin*. It has the logo of this site, seems legit and is functioning fine. When I go to view details of the app

Thanks. I was confused because when I go to app details it says it's downloaded from the Google Play Store. That threw me off.
