Say no to authoritarianism, say yes to socialism. Free Palestine đ”đž Everyone deserves Human Rights
If you read the first three chapters of that report, you'll have your answer
Israel has repeatedly chosen violence over peace. They've even assassinated the Principal Peace Negotiator multiple times, in order to continue delaying peace negotiations
Now you're calling a Euro-Med Human Rights Monitor Report a 'biased copypasta' and completely disregarding the entire report.
Israeli attacks on Lebanon have killed more than 1,974 people, including 127 children. At least 9,384 people wounded.
There is also the fact that Israel has been committing genocide for over a year.
Euro-Med Monitorâs death count differs from that reported by the Gaza Ministry of Health â which currently stands at roughly 42,000 â as it accounts for reports by the human rights groupsâ field team. But the true death toll is likely to be far, far higher; estimates from health experts have ranged from 100,000 to over 330,000, or about 15 percent of Gazaâs population.
In its over 100-page report, Euro-Med Monitor lays out some of the worst atrocities carried out by Israeli forces over the past year. It details the âsystematic acts of genocide committed in Gaza, such as the targeted killing of civilians in homes, shelters, displacement camps, and humanitarian-declared zones,â and too many other examples to list.
MBFC is a terrible way to consider whether a source is credible or not. But even if you look at the MBFC for Euro-Med, is shows no failed fact checks and a bias for human rights... If you consider that kind of bias worth disregarding, what does that say? You've given no genuine reason to ignore the Report.
Like I said, MBFC is not a good way to determine if a source is credible. Credibility is about facts and honest reporting, both of which are present in Euro-Med Monitor reporting. Nor do they omit context, the entire first two chapters of the report are about the context of the conflict. The MBFC page even contradicts itself by admitting the sources used by Euro-Med are also credible. Euro-Med and other Human Rights Organizations apply International Law equally to all parties. The amount of violations is obviously disproportionate when one side is committing genocide, that does not mean these organizations are 'one-sided' as MBFC wants to believe, they each have multiple reports condemning human rights violations by Hamas and other resistance organizations. You're refusal to consider these reports when it comes to the human rights violations of Israel shows how one-sided your views of this conflict are.
That's impossible with your ridiculous premise that bias is somehow inherently bad and also more important to consider than factual reporting.
Are Israeli sources like B'TSelem and Breaking the Silence also too biased to you? Works done by Israeli Historians such as Ilan Pappe and Avi Schlaim?
The reality of this genocide, the Apartheid, and the daily violence of the Occupation are well documented and readily available.
They've also killed over 100 journalists in only a year
Zionism is a fascist ideology that dehumanizes an entire people, Palestinians, and even neighboring people like Syrian and Lebanese people when it fits the needs of Settler Colonialism. But it's important to note that not all Israelis are Zionist, there are anti-zionists within Israel.
The end of Israel, as in a regime change, is about extending human rights to Palestinians, not the expulsion of Israelis. Equal rights, equal right of return, and equal representation.
This is a protest against a year of genocide.
Over 42,000 minimum direct deaths, mostly women and children. Conservative estimates that include indirect deaths, from the absolute destruction of all civilian infrastructure in Gaza, is over 140,000.
There is no justification for any genocide.
The Violent Occupation and Apartheid has been going on for generations. The Oct 7th attack did not come out of nowhere, it is blowback from the generations of violence the IDF has subjected Palestinians to for decades.
There was one verified instance of rape on Oct 7th. Which is completely terrible and unacceptable, like the hundreds to thousands raped and tortured in Israeli Prisons.

The union demands were extremely reasonable. What's dirty is that the company would prefer it to get to this stage than actually pay the workers fairly.
The Gaza Health Ministry is crippled because Israel has bombed the vast majority of the hospitals
Are you saying that a genocide isn't happening in Gaza right now? Are you saying that Palestinians wanted a genocide to happen to them? Wtf?
Are you asking why birth rates increase when material conditions worsen?
Pre-war Gaza had a number of salient features that set it apart from the rest of the occupied Palestinian territories. Among them were: a high population density, with an estimated 2.3 million people squeezed into 365 square kilometers (141 square miles); a large number of UN-registered refugees, amounting to 70% of Gazans, the majority of whom lived in eight overcrowded and squalid UN-serviced refugee camps; a population that was increasing annually by 2.8% â among the highest growth rates in the world, with nearly 50% under the age of 18; and a fast-growing labor force, with new entrants to the job market joining long unemployment lines in a small and virtually broken economy.
High rates of joblessness, especially among youth (60%) and women (64%), widespread poverty (64%), and severe food insecurity (41%) produced extremely dire living conditions, rendering 80% of Gaza residents dependent on humanitarian aid for survival. Dilapidated infrastructure, environmental degradation, institutional decay, and chronic shortages in electricity and potable water added further strains. The severity of conditions in Gaza twice led the UN, in 2012 and again in 2015, to warn that if nothing was done to reverse course, the whole place would become unlivable by the year 2020.
These things aren't linear, you could try to piece together a projection from the reports on famine. But they deal more with how to prevent and reverse famine, not death projections

Israel is aiming to reoccupy Lebanon. These are the exact same tactics Israel always uses when expanding their Settler Colonialism
Meanwhile Israel bombed and killed 90 civilians on the same day, including an orphanage

Israel has only ever responded to peaceful protests with lethal violence

You again are conflating Zionism with Judaism, which are 2 very different things. Israel has never represented all Jewish people and never will, nor are it's actions done to benefit all Jewish people. The conflation is itself antisemitic. Adi Callai, an Israeli, does a great analysis of how Antisemitism has been weaponized (see 29:01) by Zionism during its history.
::: spoiler Origins of Zionism
Zionism is a settler colonialism project that was able to really start with the support of British Imperialism. Zionism as a political movement started with Theodore Herzl in the 1880s as a 'modern' way to 'solve' the 'Jewish Question' of Europe.
Since at least the 1860's, Europe was increasingly antisemitic and hostile to Jewish people. Zionism was explicitly a Setter Colonialist movement and the native Palestinians were not considered People but Savages by the Europeans. While Zionist Colonization began before it, the Balfor Declaration is when Britain gave it's backing of the movement in order to 'solve' the 'Jewish Question' while also creating a Colony in the newly conquered Middle East after WWI in order to exhibit military force in the region and extract natural resources.
That's when Zionist immigration started to pick up, out of necessity for most as Europe became more hostile and antisemitic. That continued into and during WWII, European countries and even the US refused to expand immigration quotas for Jewish people seeking asylum. The idea that the creation of Israel is a reparation for Jewish people is an after-the-fact justification. While most Jewish immigrants had no choice and just wanted a place to live in peace, it was the Zionist Leadership that developed and implemented the forced transfer, ethnic cleansing, of the native population, Palestinians. Without any Occupation, Apartheid, and ethnic cleansing, there would not be any Palestinian resistance to it.
Herzl himself explicitly considered Zionism a Settler Colonialist project, Setter Colonialism is always violent. The difficulty in creating a democratic Jewish state in an area inhabited by people who are not Jewish, is that enough Palestinian people need to be 'Transferred' to have a demographic majority that is Jewish. Ben-Gurion explicitly rejected Secular Bi-national state solutions in favor of partition.

Zionismâs aims in Palestine, its deeply-held conviction that the Land of Israel belonged exclusively to the Jewish people as a whole, and the idea of Palestineâs âcivilizational barrenness" or âemptinessâ against the background of European imperialist ideologies all converged in the logical conclusion that the native population should make way for thenewcomers.
The idea that the Palestinian Arabs must find a place for themselves elsewhere was articulated early on. Indeed, the founder of the movement, Theodor Herzl, provided an early reference to transfer even before he formally outlined his theory of Zionist rebirth in his Judenstat.
An 1895 entry in his diary provides in embryonic form many of the elements that were to be demonstrated repeatedly in the Zionist quest for solutions to the âArab problem â-the idea of dealing with state governments over the heads of the indigenous population, Jewish acquisition of property that would be inalienable, âHebrew Land" and âHebrew Labor,â and the removal of the native population.

::: spoiler Settlements, Occupation, and Apartheid
Israel justifies the settlements and military bases in the West Bank in the name of Security. However, the reality of the settlements on-the-ground has been the cause of violent resistance and a significant obstacle to peace, as it has been for decades.
This type of settlement, where the native population gets 'Transferred' to make room for the settlers, is a long standing practice.

Further, declassified Israeli documents show that the Occupation of the West Bank and Gaza Strip were deliberately planned before being executed in 1967:
While the peace process was exploited to continue de-facto annexation of the West Bank via Settlements
The settlements are maintained through a violent apartheid that routinely employs violence towards Palestinians and denies human rights like water access, civil rights, etc. This kind of control gives rise to violent resistance to the Apartheid occupation, jeopardizing the safety of Israeli civilians.
State violence â official and otherwise â is part and parcel of Israelâs apartheid regime, which aims to create a Jewish-only space between the Jordan River and the Mediterranean Sea. The regime treats land as a resource designed to serve the Jewish public, and accordingly uses it almost exclusively to develop and expand existing Jewish residential communities and to build new ones. At the same time, the regime fragments Palestinian space, dispossesses Palestinians of their land and relegates them to living in small, over-populated enclaves.
The apartheid regime is based on organized, systemic violence against Palestinians, which is carried out by numerous agents: the government, the military, the Civil Administration, the Supreme Court, the Israel Police, the Israel Security Agency, the Israel Prison Service, the Israel Nature and Parks Authority, and others. Settlers are another item on this list, and the state incorporates their violence into its own official acts of violence. Settler violence sometimes precedes instances of official violence by Israeli authorities, and at other times is incorporated into them. Like state violence, settler violence is organized, institutionalized, well-equipped and implemented in order to achieve a defined strategic goal.

::: spoiler One or Two State Solution
The settlements represent land-grabbing, and land-grabbing and peace-making donât go together, it is one or the other. By its actions, if not always in its rhetoric, Israel has opted for land-grabbing and as we speak Israel is expanding settlements. So, Israel has been systematically destroying the basis for a viable Palestinian state and this is the declared objective of the Likud and Netanyahu who used to pretend to accept a two-state solution. In the lead up to the last election, he said there will be no Palestinian state on his watch. The expansion of settlements and the wall mean that there cannot be a viable Palestinian state with territorial contiguity. The most that the Palestinians can hope for is Bantustans, a series of enclaves surrounded by Israeli settlements and Israeli military bases.

Hamas has already agreed to no longer govern the Gaza Strip, as long as Palestinians receive liberation and a unified government can take place.
During the current war, Hamas officials have said that the group does not want to return to ruling Gaza and that it advocates for forming a government of technocrats to be agreed upon by the various Palestinian factions. That government would then prepare for elections in Gaza and the West Bank, with the intention of forming a unified government.

Withdrawing to the Green Line is impossible now with the settlements dividing the West Bank into hundreds of isolated enclaves. You cannot forcibly displace the over half a million settlers.
This is exactly why multiple Israeli Historians have discussed how the realities of the Apartheid and Settlements have made any actual Two-State solution not viable. If you read any of those three links, they discuss exactly that.
Zionism, with its Settler Colonialism for an Ethnostate, is incompatible with coexistance and equality.

The aid trucks need to be allowed into Gaza. Israel needs to be stopped by international pressure. This is genocide.

You realise Biden's current stance on Israel is unpopular by a vast majority of the Democratic voter base, right?
A senior official told The New Arab that "Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu managed to obtain American approval for a military operation in Rafah, in exchange for [Israel] refraining from carrying out a wide military operation against Iran in response to its recent attack."
This is insane, goes to show how much power the US has over Israeli military operations. US approval for genocide, what a strong finger wag.
About five times as many, of course it's much lower to people who consider Palestinians subhuman animals
I really hate that the administration is doubling down on one of Biden's most unpopular positions. This feels like exact opposite of what they should do to gain more support in swing states for the election when it comes to foreign policy.
