I thought I read over a decade ago the main strategy in Republican campaigns is to convince young people to just not vote. As it's easier to convince someone not to do anything than it is to convince someone to do something for you.

Not into stuff like that myself but I would have thought the purpose of nipple rings was to show that you have nipple rings. Put on a tight shirt and walk proudly through the library with your chest out like a proud pigeon kind of thing.

But I guess one solution is to get extra piercings on your chest and stomach so people won't be able to tell which piercing is the actual nipple piercing.

"I don't think freedom is simply doing what you want. I believe freedom is simply being able to love without fear"

That always stick with me and makes me wonder what heavy conservatives think of that line

I am still waiting for a day of no frills EVs or just more no frills cars in general. Less crap in the way to repair and whatnot. But all I see passing car lots are bigger vehicles that look like they have so much stuff in them.

We need like a Kirkland brand EV. Unless I am an idiot and people don't want stuff like that.

Kenny: "can't you pick the lock?"

Lee: "what makes you think that?"

Kenny: "you know, because you're... urban"

Lee: "what did you say?"

Kenny: "sorry I'm from Florida stupid shit comes out my mouth all the time"

If I am looking it up correctly, judge Amit Mehta was appointed by Obama (who had ties with Google), and still ruled google a Monopoly.

I just like stuff like this as it shows a judge can put bias aside in a ruling at least once, supposedly.

According to the links, the law was sponsored by Donna Howard (Dem) and Angie Button (Rep). Said 13 yays and 4 abstained from the financial committee.

Hopefully women constituents from both sides encouraged their reps to push forward.

Sure you think paper snowflakes are useless but wait for an elementary school play to need set design and they will crawl in their hands and knees to rescue them 😉

I am still hoping for the day to see someone of the same party convict a politician.

If anyone has any cases I'd love a link!

Cause the Hooooook brings you baack

And then they buy more red spray paint on Amazon because Walmart was out .

Side note, didn't the movie company make bank from people buying those V for Vendetta masks to protest against corporations or something? Vague memory of it

I was going to say it wasn't that people hated them, I was thinking it was BMW users either didn't want to pay or found a buddy to do it for free.

My other thought is there is probably some convoluted US tax law that can turn it into profit.

Isn't Diablo 4 one of the top profitable games this year (if you include extra transactions), and are there deets on how much Overwatch 2 makes in a month?

Naturally gamers here don't care, but I imagine much like Madden or Fifa the mainstream buys tons of Blizzard stuff.

When I did in home jobs decades ago there were quite a few people who played Warcraft and not even remotely familiar with other games let alone how to use their PCs

Its a shame more people, especially younger people in the US, aren't more into things like primaries and other voting besides presidential elections. Makes me wonder who would break through future elections and who they would appoint as a result.

I don't see this being any problem as long as young people vote.

Wait.

I have electric though. Worst case is the pollutants gone into the mining of the lithium and manufacturing of the vehicle. But how much of that can be controlled for mining and manufacturing?

Just wait until the bots get here, hoo boy.

Followed by ad companies making shower thoughts about their products.

Followed by Propaganda accounts having shower thoughts not about Tiannamen Square.

I always thought of them as terrified of gays 😄.

"when the time is right" the article says.

So when they predict sales would increase by more than 30% I presume, if Valve still takes 40%.

When I tried to get the Xbox Indie Games XNA kit it said you got a quarter for every dollar sold on the indie games store back on the 360

So the interesting thing with Fox News is users migrated to Newsmax when Fox leaned towards that the election wasn't rigged.

Now Newsmax is subtly putting that there is no evidence of fraud, and the users in Newsmax are getting angry 😂

I imagine these things would make Lemmy explode more:

  1. Influencer influencers influencers. Have Mr Beast mention how he will give half a million dollars to whomever makes the best post on a Lemmy board or something and you have it made.

  2. Individual users can find a way to profit from it, be it pushing a t-shirt to only fans or whatever and you'll see an influx in ads, er, posts.

I have a dumb conspiracy that Elon wants to be US president like any Lex Luthor like person, but since he can't he is ruining things extreme republicans hate. Then he can gain favor and make his way up as high as he can to reach religious cult status Like some megalomaniac. 😆

What's weird is if you look at users on places like Newsmax and Oann or other extremist forums they seem to happy seeing Tesla and Twitter going down but don't mock Elon for it

Survey done by Durex. Durex was also that news site "ally of the year". Interesting. Usually whenever I think of polls I feel like people who aren't directly interested in the topic don't take the poll.

Like if you said there was a polls about video games, I might take it. But a poll about guns id probably pass on.

But I welcome a more open culture, so would be neat if true.

What are the odds of Elon running for a Republican office in 10 years?

Ah, I think I have been watching too much Star Trek and forget that prejudice still exists sometimes ☚ī¸

For anyone living in Utah, a bill to enable Ranked Choice voting will be in November 2023.

So anyone there please register to vote sooner rather than later.

Currently people are being told it's too confusing and too liberal, so they really could be more young people votes to help the cause.

I recall in a decades old Texas Univ interview, Gabe said you had to be aggressive in your firing processes.

Is the same video I recall they made him put on a horse head and try to hold up three fingers.

"Cuno doesn't really fuckin care!"

Has any info been leaked about how much money Xbox pays companies to have their titles on game pass?

I have trouble figuring out what keywords to search online.

In the past I recall Microsoft paid $10 million for a one year exclusive to GTA 4 DLC, and in that court case it was revealed Epic paid $1.3 million for the Batman games for the free week.

I can only imagine MS pays From Software Monthly, and I can also surmise MS knows how many digital downloads sell so they have leverage in negotiating a price with From Software.

Unless no one cares enough about thos to dig, or the info is public on their shareholder financial statements and I'm too dumb to find it.

"Stupid people click ads". Not sure if that phrase is true

Its how you win elections just mass spread everywhere. Or make people not vote

And what's more there is no model associated with not being driven by an asshole. And no one can prove me wrong 😄

To quote George Carlin "ever notice how anyone driving slowly than you is an idiot? And ever notice how anyone driving faster than you is a MANIAC? It's a wonder how we can get anywhere at all with all these idiots and maniacs driving around. "

I went with a Nissan Leaf. But only because it was the only EV I could have gotten on 2022, as it felt so hard to get them and dealers didn't seem to keep me updated on availability.

Fun thing I read a long time ago: when Ubisoft made their version of Tetris. It had stuttering and frame rate issues. Yes. Tetris had performance issues. 😆

I read it was because the game would check your friends list in the background for things, but QA play tested on simple accounts that didn't have a crapton of friends on them. They didn't realize what would happen when the game freezes while checking every single friend all the time.

And what was worse it was supposedly in a more main method making it too difficult to patch.

Grab my Steam Deck, continue to play Morrowind cleaning out every shop in Balmora

The thing is it seemed like Sakurai wants to do other things, but has no choice but to work on smash 28/9.

Yeah Bernie losing the primary felt odd I thought more people preferred him over the rest

I think the only dumb reason I stopped playing after 25 hours was just not having a convenient storage chest as I tend to be a hoarder in games.

I even went as far as figuring out how to make a mod to improve the storage chest.

My thought was to see if I could edit the ship's chest to show a bigger screen of items and have either tabs or separaters for the name type.

Anyways if I were to replay it knowing that I shouldn't just try to pick up every crate and scrap I see I would likely get farther.
