Cranberries don't grow on the water, the fields are just flooded at harvest time because the berries float, which makes it an easy method to gather them.

It keeps happening because people are human and make mistakes.

There's also the matter of there being literally hundreds of security and privacy researchers who would love nothing more than to catch Amazon doing this, and no one has in any major way.

There's also been tons of academic studies on it that back it up.

Sure, no one is saying that. The point is that it doesn't send anything other than the stuff after the keywords back to company servers.

He has. He and his twin brother were actually part of a study into the effects of long term space habitation (his trips were shorter). They're the only two siblings to ever both go to space.

That video is a TAS, no human has cleared the level.

It also could be referencing something that they were better at in their prime, but may no longer be able to do due to age. Like answering running if your dad was a professional runner or something.

Yeah, honestly it would be fascinating if you wanted to go search for the specific terms that you think should bring that up, and then compare how deep your blog is in the results on a bunch of different web search pages.

Assuming you're talking about the pryors or however you spell it, wasn't the whole point they were trying to make that "any sufficiently advanced technology looks like magic"? It's been a hot minute since I watched it but my recollection is that they were pretty clear on that.

No the usual 'argument' that references is that it you have a complaint or preference or comment or whatever about your work or job duties, you have to bring it to your union rep, rather than talk directly with your employers management. Somehow that's supposed to be an argument against unions.

I also got a purple pillow on a friend's recommendation. I'm a really hot sleeper, and a side sleeper, so I need a lot of pillow and it was hard finding both of those things in one pillow for me. It's been great, I like it a lot. The main downsides are it's heavy as shit (the pillow probably weighs like 8kg, it's wild), the weird rubbery texture takes some getting used to, and the little mats they give you that go under the pillow to make it taller get bunched up if you move the pillow too much.

Other than those minor complaints, I've really loved it. It stays very cool, while still being springy and contouring.

I haven't really experimented with other pillowcases, but I have been meaning to, if anyone knows of something nice.

It's also really confusing because even if you don't have any particular affinity for Ukraine, even a Republican must acknowledge that functionally Russia and China are only things that are even remotely close to peer adversaries, and any military hardware we send Ukraine is going to get dumped directly into damaging that adversary. It's basically one of the most efficient military investments you could get right now. If you're even a bit pro military, you should be pro Ukraine.

The driver skill is hard to control, but I would assume they had equal pressure in the tires, or at least close enough. There's also more things that matter like tire width, lockers, horsepower, weight etc.

Even if it's not a perfectly scientific test, it can still be interesting

Same but also add "less" and "fewer"

I mean also isn't the hpv vaccine kinda functionally a cancer vaccine

I think what it comes down to for me personally about McCain is that even though I disagreed with a lot of his politics, I do genuinely believe he cared about the country and the people in it, and generally speaking he did what he honestly thought was best for them.

We can criticize the relative purity of every politician until we're blue in the face, but honestly the one overriding characteristic I think it's fair to demand of every elected official is that they're honestly working in good faith for the betterment of the country. As long as that's true I have no deep-seated issue with them.

Yeah, it'll be easy to catch if you actually dig into it, but if you're not given a reason to, it might take a while to catch; which is exactly what happened

JD Vance is the only guy who can join the mile high club without leaving his seat.

Fully agree. Honestly there's a few subjects where this kinda logic comes up and I get annoyed. Like it's fine to not be perfect, but don't pretend that you aren't perfect, or that your choices are somehow 'good' when they aren't, just because you don't like the realization.

They come with a big thick zip up cover, if that's the kinda thing you're looking for. I don't really remember noticing any powder on mine when I got it, but it's entirely possible I just didn't notice.

ULA is also Boeing, tbf.

I mean, isn't community self-policing and an overly tolerant attitude towards picking what type of games are allowed on your platform exactly what we want from them?

Yeah whenever people say this they kinda forget that there's a lot of pretty good reality TV. Deadliest catch, antiques roadshow, survivorman, price is right). None of them are the wire or anything, but I'd certainly die on the hill of them being valuable and decent television.

I feel like everyone bitching about reality TV is always just picturing wife swap, the Kardashians and real housewives when they say that.

The problem is the obscenity exception is also used for things like preventing someone from walking around a public park with a giant sign covered in gore porn. Something like that I think is obviously pretty okay to ban, but clearly it gets misused for a lot of homophobic/transphobic type stuff.

And the guy who invented it didn't ever have to use it for decades afterwards, it was purely theoretical to him.

I haven't ever weighed it so that might be a bit of an overestimate, but not by much lmao, it's ridiculously heavy

Protonmail is encrypted and they literally cannot decrypt to record your data.

Honestly, this seems great. There's a lot of people in the world that are the same way to help you with the same thing as a bit of a bit of a lot of people in the world but I think they are you and I don't know what to do with it but I don't know what to do with it but I don't think it is a good idea to be a bit of a relationship but I don't think it is a good idea but I don't think it is a thing but I don't think it is a thing but it doesn't matter to me to be a bit of a relationship and then it is a thing but it doesn't matter to me now that it's just enough money and it is not a good thing to do it as a relationship and I can do it to me but I think it's like a different relationship.

Yeah but this also results in the site receiving less money from ads, also hurting them in the long run. Really the solution is to pay for the services you enjoy, and acknowledge the age-old "if the service is free, you are the product".

I dunno that seems pretty prejudicial. It's literally the job of politicians to listen to their constituents and advocate for them. Obviously there's a problem of unequal access and representation, but I'm not sure anything he did here is particularly outside that mold, certainly not criminal. Can you actually point to something concrete that he did that you think is criminal?

Lion batteries have flames without explosions because of design considerations with the batteries: vent holes that allow pressure and heat to escape a failing battery. It's possible that if those safeguards were compromised, you could trigger an actual explosion.

Senators Glenn and McCain were cleared of having acted improperly but were criticized for having exercised "poor judgment".

Keating and DeConcini were asking McCain to travel to San Francisco to meet with regulators regarding Lincoln Savings; McCain refused.[7][11] DeConcini told Keating that McCain was nervous about interfering.[7] Keating called McCain a "wimp" behind his back, and on March 24, Keating and McCain had a heated, contentious meeting.[11]

The regulators then revealed that Lincoln was under criminal investigation on a variety of serious charges, at which point McCain severed all relations with Keating.[7]

I'm all for shitting on McCain for some of the questionable takes he's had in his life, but I don't think this is the obvious "he's corrupt" politician mic drop you think it is.

Yeah there's a decent amount of pretty cool reality TV subgenres.

I mean this is assuming that children are rationally considering the amount of power an abuser has over their lives, which is clearly not the case. To a kid, simply being an adult makes them seem powerful.

This is only even close to true if you think 'worldly' is western Europe plus like 3 other countries. It doesn't matter what the rest of the world thinks counts as left and right wing. Biden is a left wing American Democrat, this is such a stupid argument.
