Every tech article I read nowadays I feel like has the appendix, "which is illegal in the EU." Lol

Just sad that's what the Internet has come to, microtransactions for using an app for a website that just aggregates links. Not to mention reddit has already gimped your third party access with the NSFW stuff and I'm sure more is on its way. Fuuuuuck off reddit

If you're however old you are now and still not a blood making machine, I'd say see a doctor.

This has to be the most unpopular opinion ever considering how much is invested into phone's cameras, but holy shit do I hate phone's cameras. To me it is such a monumental waste of resources; the average user cannot tell the difference, every phone ever now has a huge camera bump, and social media just compresses everything to shit anyway so there is no way to even tell how good a photo actually is. Before smart phones were a thing, no one except actual, dedicated photographers had anything better than maybe a shitty disposable camera on them. Now every phone ever, and especially the high end flagships, seem to make the camera the end all be all of features. I would pay extra to have a camera from four years ago and have my phone not have a bump... Because 99% of people couldn't tell the difference anyway.

Thank you for coming to my Ted talk. There are cookies by the exit and please be sure to sign my change.org petition before you leave as well.

Hey, I take offense to that! I'm going to write a vitriolic response to your seemingly-normal-but-different-viewpoint-than-mine opinion where I'll use non-applicable slurs and misinformation and then call you dumb if you post a sensible reply!

Well in 5th grade I read Percy Jackson: The Lightning Thief and later on every book after that. And there's still a part of me that thinks I might be a demigod. So Monday, Wednesday, Friday, it's the Greeks and Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday it's the Romans. Sunday is a toss up.

The literal endless abundance of things to do. Idc if my place is a closet if I'm never in it. Obviously if you're raising a 5 person family it's harder, but if you're solo or DINK then why wouldn't you

No, just like soccer is not called football here. Sometimes things are different in other places.

By far my favorite part of being in the air force was all the patches, and especially so if you're attached to a pilot squadron since they're the only ones authorized to have any fun. Here's one I was given, along with it being my favorite.

Definitely not unless your group is insanely dedicated to keeping it serious. All it takes is one person who doesn't care about lore or the story or some NPC talking to rush through something or make a joke and completely take you out of it. I could never play it in a group on my first serious play.

I get the sentiment for sure and nothing looks worse than seeing 5 of them knocked over on a sidewalk but they were pretty nice. Here in Seattle it's hilly as fuck so walking down a hill to downtown then scootering back up was nice. Hopefully a good bike share can replace them.

While less competition is bad, I'm not sure there's been a competition with Microsoft since like 2009. They have continuously proven that they will make the dumbest choices with stuff like always on online, can't play used games, gimping games for the series x because the series s is basically just the Xbox one again, buying game developers and doing absolutely nothing with them, and releasing maybe two interesting exclusives in the span of 15 years. I was team green from the og launch until I got my PS4 but man I hope they just kick Xbox to the curb and just let PC kinda do its own thing. I have zero confidence in Xbox making any decision right in the gaming space.

Never pre ordering anything for any reason ever has been a pretty good piece of advice to live by, I've found.

Disneyland was charging $1850 for five people for one day at Disneyland and one day at California Adventure, genie plus (some kind of fast pass replacement), and then has the gall to make some rides ineligible for the genie plus and instead you have to pay $28 a head for the fast pass. Why can't we just wait in line? Why did the mouse feel the need to monetize every single interaction in the whole park? As great as the design is in Disneyland, definitely left a sour taste in my mouth knowing that a poor family has an objectively worse experience than a rich one, especially on Christmas. Some rides had a 90, 120 minute wait.

It's intentionally designed to look polarizing. You're not gonna find a lot of people sitting on the fence on this one and since it looks so different from every other car on the market there's gonna be a lot of people who aren't into the change. But yeah I hate it.

Lol wtf how is this legal? I just typed in office space and it started playing

My comment to that is in every single thread and every other post on every other instance someone is saying how sync is ad filled and tracker heavy. So let's just all agree to never talk about apps, ever.

There's alternatives for all of that, why are you stuck on Google? You could create a new email on a different site or host your own and there would be no differences between it and a gmail account. For photo services you could build a nas that has auto backup and never pay a penny again to Google. I understand they are pervasive in the modern world so it's hard to escape but there's always options.

I think they said GoG provided technical support or something, right? I imagine there was a clause in whatever they did heavily encouraging releasing it on GoG. In any case, for me at least I much rather prefer it being on GoG than steam just for DRMs sake. I've transitioned to always buying on GoG first, rather than steam.

For me I just can't support it because I feel like it's just one more step in changing digital ownership. Always my fear that one day I'll wake up and storefronts aren't a thing, you have to subscribe to play a game.

It'd be pretty sick if after seeing the massive success bg3 was and how they were wildly off with their prediction, Microsoft pushes an order for pillars of eternity 3.

While I'm in this bizzaro world where Microsoft makes good decisions, I'd also like a Ferrari.

Samsung's is pretty useless though... Just says "good." Now idk if there's more details that populate when it's bad but just having a single word doesn't really fill me with confidence. Would be nice to see some more stats.

Can someone post the nyt article on this??

I always like how they describe how old the product was one when google killed it, almost as if it was a young child's eulogy.

"Android Auto for Phone Screens was killed. It was almost two years old."

Green/blue bubbles is just a simple way to say sms sucks. Besides those stories about teens getting social pressured, all anyone cares about is basically just sending photos that don't look like they were taken 20 years ago.

My grandma carried fresh jalapeno peppers in her purse for years so when she went out to eat she had something spicy too. That's the story of how I ended up eating jalapenos with every meal.

Successful in terms of cash, which I'd imagine is the most common metric people look for. Now whether gamers will look back on bg3 or d4 more fondly? You decide!!

Cool to see they managed to incorporate it. I like the idea of face unlock but for me it's not convenient enough. Hard to use like if I'm sitting at my desk and phones sitting on top, I need to hover my face over it awkwardly until it sees me, and if I'm laying in bed or on the couch, it won't recognize me either. I'll always be loyal to the trusty fingerprint reader.
