In my experience, you can't expect it to deliver great working code, but it can always point you in the right direction.
There were some situations in which I just had no idea on how to do something, and it pointed me to the right library. The code itself was flawed, but with this information, I could use the library documentation and get it to work.

Oh my god, this is just too funny.

Honestly, any generalisations like that are nonsense. There are men that are super vanilla, men that are a bit kinky and men that are insanely kinky as well. The exact same applies to women (and enbies).

The problem I have with Mastodon is you need people to get people. And if the people I personally know and follow just aren't there, I don't… have fun there. Lemmy is much easier because it doesn't depend on personal people, but just communities. So even if there are few people, that's still easy to get more people there because it doesn't rely on many specific ones.

Best interest of the child my ass. I knew and know so many trans kids that suffer(ed) so much from such awful transphobic laws.
That's just purely disgusting and will have horrible consequences for so many people. I am so sorry for every trans kid in England that suffers from this. :(

Connecting superintelligence to the board's recent actions, which Sutskever initially supported, might be a stretch.

Why do you do that in your headline then?

Wow, so yeah, you obviously enrage people when you say something ridiculously dumb and behave like you know it better. That's just called being an asshole.

Are you seriously saying they have some of the best manufacturing? My sweet summer child, even the Tesla fans that focus on the benefits of Tesla acknowledge that Tesla lays it's focus clearly on the power grid & battery and that the manufacturing is really low-quality.

The style is so reminiscent of Strange Planet

I… don't
Has that word ever really meant that?!

Noooo not .ml D:
That is awful; lemmy.world would be fine or join-lemmy.org or lemm.ee, but not lemmy.ml

Why is the quality of this so terrible? This is the original:

It's absolutely influenced. Everyone who found a nice place e.g. on here is just not on Reddit and not seeing it anymore. Had a similar poll on a different subreddit I completely missed.

I’m really glad I haven’t seen any posts like that here on Lemmy but that sounds really awful. :/

And I completely agree with your thought and intention but I still have to nitpick about:

There is a time and place for tone policing and it’s _never_ the very minute a woman speaks up.

Of course it’s not never. Just like with men, women are not infallible and can do shit.
I know you’re (hopefully) not literally meaning it like that, but I thought it’s still noteworthy.

I gotta admit, the artist really nailed that "Oh my god what did I get myself into" - nervous fake smile in the fourth panel

What the fuck has happened in this comment section. Has a spambot literally written dozens of comments? What has been in there (without quoting if it's bad)?

For anyone interested: This meme has been posted by bots to a Reddit community I was active in back then very often.
A bot would mirror these Reddit posts in a Discord server and because this exact meme has been posted there so often, it became an insider at some point, with various people always posting this meme again (because that was itself funny).

That's why I can't take this meme seriously at all.

Ngl, I do agree with this for Swift. Like she has problems with it and now made a dumb comment that broke the camel's back and now people are meme-ing it, but she isn't literally the biggest threat.

I'd say the case is pretty different for Rowling though. She definitely did her best to spread transphobia everywhere.

Wdym? Just ordered three of these for me and my friends :D

Next to a furry convention

A good Dev in the situation you mention will design the solution needed now not the one you hope for later.

Maintainability is one of the most important if not the most important goal when programming. If a dev only designs a solution that fits for exactly the current situation but doesn't allow any changes, it's not a good dev.
But yeah, if you start small, a solution that's made for that is preferable. You can still refactor things when you get magnitudes larger and have the budget.

Ruffle: You may not know it but most old Flash games (and basically every anmiation) can be played again with this, modern and in a Browser sandbox. Website owners can include it in the backend with a few lines of code and all flash games work again automatically, and it's also available as desktop app :D

Women are, in fact, not boys.
This is probably just a feminine or androgynous trans guy

This is awesome.

Imo it’s more the other way around

This isn't something like an imo, that's just a plain fact. The whole thing Arch is absolutely famous for is being super complicated to use but giving the user very much control.
