I remember getting a few of my friends to try G+ with me, then getting in and realizing we were the only ones there. Feels like Lemmy already has more people than that ghost town ever did.

There are third party launchers you can download for many non-roku smart TVs. I have an android tv that has a god awful interface by default, but I installed FLauncher and haven't seen a single ad since.
Also note that the results are hidden on that site, but it does show the participants for each match, including the final. If that would spoil things I would avoid that page.
720pier has a section for cricket, apparently. Looks like they have this year's IPL matches, but only some are seeded unfortunately.
I personally loved the DLC, but it's definitely a different feel than the rest of the game. The storyline is really well done and rewarding, so I would recommend giving it another go.
I can't find the comment because the sub is private, but /u/ljdawson did actually say modifying Sync to work with lemmy was a possibility. I would be so happy if it ended up working out.
