Here is another shower thought. You touch things other ppl who don't wash their hands touch all the time... That is worse in my opinion. Because you can wash your hands before touching anything else (belt included) it isn't as easy to wash your hands everytime on the go. Corona made me very aware of this

Not a db, I just want to share one reason that happened to the startup I was working at.

The owners were thinking about keep business as usually which means paying more to the employees or scaling up which is very expensive, they only had small to medium sized companies as their customers(but many). Then this big company came from a different country, they were on a shopping spree buying a lot of companies(scaling up and taking over the market). The owners of the company I worked at were soon 65 or above 65 so they thought that it was a opportunity. Because if they sell then they don't have to be worried about money after retirement. So they did. But they did think the company would be taken care of, but I think they also looked away from the bad stuff, wishing this would be great. Almost everyone left the company after a year or two (myself included), it was a sinking ship. Same goes for the other companies they acquired.

Tldr; selling the company to get retirement money while hoping the company will be taken cared of. Took only a year for ppl to leave because of how bad it was.

I think I am his older brother or something along those lines. He is very social and loved by all humans but he shows more affection towards me and his real brother. They meet less than once a year because my sister moved far away, it is always interesting to see how much they still love each other (they are now 11 and have lived longer separated).

He calls for me sometime either for help with something or because he wants to be with me and can't find me. But he doesn't feel needy like a little kid toward their parents as long as I haven't been gone for long. He do need a lot of love every day.

I don't think he sees me as a parent but we have a very close relationship and mostly understand each other and he trust me a lot.

He is very polite when he is not at home, like waiting by the the food bowls without saying anything (for example when my parents takes care of him), at home do he come and ask for food and sometimes leads me to his bowl so it really feels like a kid who is reserved around other ppl when it comes to needs but is very social, outgoing and not shy at all when it comes to other things haha

Yes, you don't have to worry as long as you don't boot up windows and let it install the update.

This is not the first time they break dual boots by touching the partitions, but this is the first time they deliberately break it (that I know of). I always had windows on its own drive because of that. If you don't use windows a lot then I would suggest to do the same. You have to change to windows through bios but it isn't that much more work.

This kinda reminds me of pirating vs paying. Using api = you know it will always be the same structure and you will get the data you asked for. Otherwise you will be notified unless they version their api. There is usual good documentation. You can always ask for help.

Scraping = you need to scout the whole website yourself. you need to keep up to date with the the websites structure and to make sure they haven't added ways to block bots (scraping). Error handling is a lot more intense on your end, like missing content, hidden content, query for data. the website may not follow the same standards/structuree throughout the website so you need to have checks for when to use x to get y. The data may need multiple request because they do not show for example all the user settings on one page but in an api call they would or it is a ajax page and you need to run Javascript scripts and click on buttons that may change id, class or text info and they may load data when you do x with Javascript so you need to emulate the webpage.

So my guess is that scraping is used most often when you only need to fetch simple data structures and you are fine with cleaning up the data afterwards. Like all the text/images on a page, checking if a page has been updated or just save the whole page like wayback machine.

I am with you. We should use the ai as a tool to automate or remove things that is frustrating or in the way of the actual goal to help the customers. Plus I don't think any model is good enough (yet) to act as tech support (they can use open ai if it was enough). I think ai is great as a tool tho. For example you can use it to go through a lot of documents of products, policies, other tickets and so on so the tech support person can find the relevant information faster. We can also use ai to create summerise of the call or take notes and so on. A lot of great potential to make everyone happier but I don't believe in replacing actual ppl.

At least blind ppl can use all of the black buttons, so that is something. Sucks for them to find to the lobby tho

Same, I went from drinking from friends glass to only do so if I felt "forced" as in it would be weird if I didn't haha And I have a "dirty" hand that can touch things and a "clean" hand that will only touch my stuff that I know is "clean". Not only telling your real name, you weren't supposed to tell your real birthday, give away your phone number or where you lived, even just saying the city was a bit much. So filling in those things like on Facebook or LinkedIn feels very wrong but it would be even more wrong to have fake info there. And as a user do I hate it too. It is too many times while I edit an email and click delete that is deletes the email instead... It seems if I click a word and get the spell window does the focus always change to the list of emails.... And it also force a spell correction if I click space... I didn't pick one of the options I just want to edit the word myself!!! And if I scrolldown to remove some parts of the email thread or just want to copy a part won't it let me if I don't click twice.. and it jumps around...damn I hate it so much. 2-5 seems super short for anything haha so I am guessing you want to play something where you don't have to think too much. Very chill games where it is easy to just pause and then get back fast to where you left off.

• stardeew valley - you can be super efficient or just super chill about it, the game won't punish you

• I haven't tried bloons td 6 on steam deck because I had finished it before I got my deck (exist as app too) but that would be pretty perfect fit too.

• Cozy grove is exactly maybe 5-15 min per day. It is a bit too slow for my taste because of that. It is a very chill puzzle like game.

• Death doors, very easy to just pause mid game and very nice visual and story. The game is maybe 5 h long if you try to get all of the achievements. But it is a great game none the less

• Moon lighter - rouge like and store management, very chill and all days are pretty much the same so you don't have to be efficient

• monster sanctuary - pokemon but 2d platformer

• Pyre - can pause pretty easy before every challenge. I wouldn't pause mid challenge tho. But you can. Great story and great strategy game

• Ring of pain - rouge like but with cards. Easy to die so one session can be very short if unlucky or maybe that is lucky? 😂

• Spirit farer - great story and can be paused very easily mid game and you can take your time in everything or do it quick and dirty

• Vampire survivors - like others have said

• West of death - rouge like, easy to pause and a pretty brain dead game (not in a bad way)

• the final station - very very easy to jump in and out of. Most station is pretty short so this can be played easily with weeks going by and still just jump in and play. The story is very easy to follow

• katana zero - platformer, very cool and easy to jump in and out of. Short missions so if you don't want a perfect score could you do many bellow 5 min maybe even in 2 min. Pretty short game tho story wise

• legend of keepers - rouge defense. every wave is pretty fast to go through if you have put up your traps and monsters correctly/good enough

• Nitro kid - rouge like but turned based. This one can be both fast and slow depending on your choices

Why can it not be both? It is piracy because you access content that should be payed with your time (ads) instead of money, by bypassing the front door/line of ads and going in through the backdoor.

You do guard yourself from virus and some data hording and it can also be true that you don't find it worth it of your time and only want to consume without interruptions.

I also use an ad blocker. It is the first thing I install on a browser. The internet is impossible to navigate in without it and I try to only use sites without ads if possible... But I do believe it is piracy to block it, and it is my choice.

I only pay for nebula and Spotify so all the creators who is on there at least get something from me. But I don't know if that is even close to enough.

Yea thought so, it feels a bit like horoscopes in newspaper sometimes. I only know two with adhd and they are both very extreme cases but polar opposite to each other so i don't have anything to base these "facts" on.

Yea i was taught that parentheses is just wrapping extra information that you won't read out loud and can be skipped. It was meant to be there to give more context for those that is not as well versed in the subject or helpful to point out things that may not be as obvious for the reader. For example "VIP(very important person)" or "a lot of things here are brown (the tables, chairs and floor)".

But i never even thought about how parentheses should be used until now. My teachers never really said anything about them.

That could actually happen, it happens to me a lot. I use voyager and sometimes do i hold the vote slide too long. But (i hope) i always see it and fix it. Sometimes i need multiple tries, i vote too little to get good at it 😂

I think most ppl are fine with it if it is only once and you seem genuinely sad about it. I am fine with ppl forgetting we even met I am even playing along pretending it is the first time we meet, so far has it only been ppl I met maybe twice in my life(except one person). I have only met one person who actually got sad when I forgot her name. She asked if I was not as happy as she was to see me.. That hurt, I remembered her tho! But not her name.

I think it is worse when I have to introduce myself everytime we meet and it has been over 3 times... One dude he never remembered me until the 5th time then he said "heey we have met before right?! " he even looked genuinely happy and I felt "finally we can stop pretending" but then the next time we met he introduced him self again... I remember you Felix!

Yes that picture thing happened multiple times at my old job. They kept pestering me about give them a pic to add to the "about us" page and I had to use my face in all channels (jira, slack email and so on) because "otherwise I can't tell who is who".. my current job handled that much better, they asked for a pic (if I wanted to) to be used as reference for an artist (always the same) to make an avatar and that is now the avatar my coworkers and I use in presentations, systems, emails, webpages anything, we never use real image of our coworkers unless the person wish for it.

The video shows how to create a salt based pcm (phase change material). You can also buy packs like these but I thought it seemed more fun to create it myself, so it will be my summer project when the heat is not barrable. I think Putting it under a cap would do wonders.

Many ppl suggest rougelike/lite and sandbox games I want to also add games with a good mod community and have a lot of side quest like Skyrim, they fit the replayability criteria because when it starts to feel the same can you add mods that change things up. I have done thousands of hours in Skyrim and never finished the main quest 😂 I think Balders gate 3 will also live for a long time. Many rpgs seem to get a lot of mods and games like Balders gate change a lot depending on what you do and how you play.

But you seem to want some kind of fps so warframe would be better, you can play alone or with friends. Just like ultrakill do you jump around killing, you can use, swords, guns and magic depending on your build (there are many). Doom would also fits your style of playing I think.

Otherwise management games is a time sinker. But most do not have fighting elements where you yourselves fight. Cult of the lamb tries to be all of it, it has action/fighting and management you can even decorate if you are into that. Pretty good for those who want it all. The devs still updates it too.

Some companies makes their apps a lot better than their website and you often get more and better features from a mobile users point of view. But I also prefer the browser because I don't want to fill my phone with apps I use only once a week or less and I can use adblocker. But it is pretty nice to be able to jump between apps instead of jumping between tabs. I have a lot of tabs open instead of downloading their app and also stuff I want to remember or pages I use often. I try to clean it up but I always have an infinity icon instead of a number for my tabs 😂 I tried using bookmarks but it is easier to find the right page as a tab (big thumbnail)

I just started trying out changing the setting "show read post" to unchecked in my settings to hide read post. Now I don't need to see same old stuff. It is great! It is like reading emails now 😂

I use the app so I have to refresh every time to hide tho but I don't think that will be a thing for web users.

I earn money so I don't need to use my freetime for things I don't want to do. For example I dont make my own fabric and sew my own clothes I buy them. So it is a trading, time (hopefully fun time) for money (work) and money for time (services and things). Money is pointless if I don't use it. Why spend time working if I won't use it to buy time? And sure Spotify profile me so they can recommend music that I may like and I am fine with that because that is how I find new music anyways. I don't use services like Google because of their tracking and always try to use a browser instead of apps if possible so I can use ublocker. It is always a priority thing you know. I could live outside the society (off grid, no tech) if I don't want to be tracked or I can let some services track me because it is a lot more convenient for me in the grand scale of things.

Sure, being infected may not be a big risk for some I am only generalizing it. I am not saying you will be infected because I don't know what sources you use I only said it is a risk. There are always malicious ppl and even trusted sources can be compromised and trusted companies with payed services. Just like it is a risk to jaywalk but it doesn't mean you always risk your life doing so. But some are too naive like you said.
