Queer transfem with an endless gaming backlog.

That someone looks at how Elon handled Twitter and goes ""Yes! that's exactly what I want to do." is wild. I have no words, but it does explain so much of how things have gone down.

The first CRISPR gene editing treatment for sickle cell disease was approved. An amazing start to what I hope is a future of cures for various genetic diseases.

I've never heard that word. TIL. Dang sneaky dog whistles that just go over my head.

I don't know much about him, but reading that he lost the young people vote for supporting the Vietnam War is such a good parallel for today.

Article says it only moved to living trees and that its a symbiotic relationship. Which to my understanding of trees, they already do this with other fungi, and this one is just tagging along as well.

The last of us this is not, not even close.

Dang that stuff should only be in natural fresh water spots, how badly maintained was that splash pad to be infected with this?

Dark Souls is kind of a lonely game, I wonder if they'll recruit some ally npc characters like the Solaire, Siegmeyer and that funny little guy named Patches. Or will they go the Samurai Jack style and revel in the loneliness of the journey.

Since the article didn't list many examples, I looked them up.

brominated vegetable oil- used in sodas, usually citrus flavored ones
potassium bromate- look out for this in breads
propylparaben- used in packaged baked goods, mostly pastries and tortillas
red dye No. 3- aka Erythrosine, its a pink dye, so watch out for that ingredient in any pink foods

and lastly to cover all bases:
titanium dioxide- its a white dye, so watch out for that ingredient in any white foods

Now they can submit classified documents right into the engine code. How efficient.

The whole infinite growth mentality caused by companies being public on the stock market is the real poison I think. So lets just axe the whole thing. No more stock market, every company is private again.

Which means no more stock speculators, or stock buybacks, or market manipulation schemes. Just companies selling their products to consumers based on their own metrics.

No, the secret ingredient was water. Ordinary water. Laced with nothing more than a few spoonfuls of LSD.

Lack of search really makes it hard to find a discussion on anything, which is what I used reddit for. I hope its a thing that gets implemented eventually.

If it was just about maintenance costs, that would be easy. By being public, Twitter and Reddit will need to always grow revenue, every year they are expected to bring in more money than the previous. Stable and sufficient are not good enough, it will always need to be more. And that's how these apps get shitty.

That was a great read, I'd never heard of Prodigy, but its sad how since the beginning of the internet, companies have been trying to monetize community and just end up destroying it.

That's good to hear that even though the vaccine is targeting the last big Omicron variant (XBB.1.5) aka Kraken, that its still effective towards the new Eris variant as its similar enough.

I'm glad they brought up Batgirl too, this practice is so messed up.

It's always double down on Trumpism. No need to worry about any attempt at backtracking.

That's still my current phone. Newer phones just look so absolutely massive.

Girl pretty and strong. Girl cool and brave. Mash names together.

I hope they strike down every one of these bigoted garbage laws.

I stole mine from a videogame way back in highschool, 15 years before I would officially crack.

I played an RPG where the main character just resonated with me greatly. And might have also been the first female lead I'd ever played as. I held into that name as my future daughter's name, even though I didn't want kids. So it was an imaginary daughter.

When I came out as trans, I figured that I was that imaginary daughter I had been building in my mind all those years.

They could not even get the local suns to show at launch. FSR 3 is probably way down the list of other issues to fix first.

Don't they already have VAC?

I wouldn't be surprised if she's stuck in a no true Scotsman fallacy. "She's a real Republican, its the Trumpers who have betrayed the values and don't belong." Despite that it's the majority of them doing that.

If there are 9 Republicans at a table with a Nazi.

I had a heck of a time trying to get It Takes Two to work on my machine. Apparently every game that launches the EA App from Steam is broken now and needs a custom fix using ProtonTricks.

After a while of searching, I found this guide and it was a lifesaver.
https://steamdeckhq.com/tips-and-guides/fixing-ea-play-blank-screen-for-ea-games-on-steam/

These are sadly the kind of issues that scare people away from Linux gaming. The stuff that works, works great. But when something is not supported, it can be a real pain to find a fix.

Not the worst worst, but a story I feel is fitting.

I still remember in high school a new guy transferred in one year and was just the worst person to interact with, I've ever met. He would verbally insult everyone he talked to, literally everyone. I had the displeasure of sitting next to him in one of my classes and it was just nonstop. Thankfully, I didn't take it personally cause I saw he did it to everyone. It became more tiring after a while, to hear him speak, rather than feeling insulted.

I remember a large number of us spoke out against him to the teachers, but I forget if anything came out of it.

So it's a brute force approach using automated systems. They mention their method is superior to traditional brute force methods by doing unorthodox things, but the article does not go into detail into how.

I mean, great news if this methodology pans out. There just very little to go off from the article. Either way, seems like a pretty neat testing suite.

That's messed up that a teacher can abuse a child to the point where they kill their interest in a subject.

There's also the video game series, Homefront, where a unified Korea under northern rule invaded the US and occupies it.

I once read a documentary of what happens when someone uses 100%. It's called My Hero Academia.

I don't get it. If they believe that black people are less sensitive to pain, then wouldn't a black person complaining of pain actually have a much worse injury and need higher priority treatment?

I know the answer is just racism, but at least get your logic straight.

I blame his early victory against Brock and his "aim for the horn" vs Rhydon for his continued insistence on using electric attacks on ground types. He learned the wrong lesson early on and it stuck.

The really low number of skills and how long they each took to perform on top of how beefy most enemies were also did not help.

I'm trans, so 100% living a better life since coming out. It's not even close.

Dog paints pictures, saves land

And the picture they used is not just white background, but the icons and edit text are blue and text is black. Where is the grey? I call false advertisement.
