I'd label them legends in the sense that they're probably one of the game studios I know by name the best even though that's all they have to show for it. Postal 2 for as bugged and edgy as it is, is an extraordinarily famous game.

Pretty sure it's only Empress. On another note, I would not believe the Empress story if I hadn't been around long enough to actually watch everything play out in real time.

Louis Rossman. Right to repair is great

Y'all are ignoring what this actually is - an app for EVERY video platform. Also, restrictive license is fine as long as the source code is available. Rossman explains this is to keep people from just forking and making scam versions of the app like NewPipe sees.

Lol this is funny. I wouldn't really call it much of a war, it's Apple holding back easily implemented features to cater to elitism. Would platforms like WhatsApp have taken over so heavily if basic texting was actually good enough?

The thing is though, Paradox standards fucking suck

Huawei keeps on winning

Moto 360 and Pebble Watch are still sick af today

That makes a lot of sense. I thought it was really odd that there were 50+ pages for Switch games but only like 3 for PC games. Reason would say that if you're buying a $2000 PC, you're less likely to have a desire to not pay for games. Even I've moved away from PCs and switched to Android emulation because of price.

I'd definitely be more likely to buy a Switch or PS4 than a new PC right now. And I'd probably be pirating on them

One of the biggest games I can think of on Unity is Rust, and Facepunch has shown that they don't really give two fucks about switching engines. Unreal doesn't really have fairer pricing, but it's way simpler so they're gonna lose a lot of business to them

100 isn't enough to really be worth anything too serious. The smart thing to do is either save it for something bigger or just have fun with it. Best way I spent 100 as a kid was on pizza and shit for me and my friends. A Minecraft server and some pizza is like 30 bucks, provides hours of fun

Yeah, however I think this is one of those things that should be a stock feature. Most people who use webcams aren't tech people and want a plug and play experience. It isn't particularly hard to implement and helps Android stay competitive with Apple's user experience.

Probably. It's just odd to me that all the ones I use/used a lot have pretty much zero PC games. Torrentleach isn't really a gaming tracker, still just odd that console piracy has grown so much in the past few years.

Federally, ship has already sailed. I'll still vote for the lesser evil on local matters, as I like school funding

Don't have the link, but it's made by DB0

That's what I'm more upset about. The logic behind these decisions that has been expressed simply isn't sound parenting. This kid just got his favorite toy taken away, and while it isn't meant as punishment, it will feel like punishment. The logic expressed in the post is regurgitated out of a video essay, and makes it sound like Dad doesn't even know why he's taking it away. My situation was a little bit different, adopting someone else's kid who had an entirely different life before me, but I feel like the shock therapy of just banning it with video essay logic is weak even if they are fully your children. As someone who was on it as a kid, I don't like Roblox overall. However, I've found just teaching him why I don't like Roblox has been more effective than just pulling it away and giving a poorly thought out explanation why. Now he's come to the conclusion of the emptiness of Roblox himself, I didn't have to force it.

Kids are smarter than we give them credit for. Giving them the information on their level and giving them choice usually pays off with kids. They can usually understand way more than we expect them to as long as we can break it down for them. It's one thing to be the weird kid who can't play Roblox because your parents don't want you to, it's another thing to be the kid who just doesn't want to play Roblox. I'm saying that this is a situation where you can have your cake and eat it too, and that's by educating your kids to make good decisions and give them ample opportunity to practice that skill.

It's less that the stereotype isn't true and more that it applies to everybody. American stereotypes are widely based on racist enforcement of laws. Obviously there are italian crime families, but there are white crime families like the Sacklers that do far worse shit, but we don't stereotype white people as criminal masterminds. Italians are considered white in America now though, so they have less stereotypes attached to them.

If America was less racist, you wouldn't hear about country of origin in crime. I've had people of all races sell me cocaine out of the back of the sketchy restaurant.

Kbin is definitely the answer here.

Best non-chromium browser. More customisable.

Buy a copy of Minecraft, best purchase I ever made

Adobe CC. They've added new features recently to justify a subscription, but it's still not that good of a pitch. Some editors will have offline PCs so that their software doesn't get fucked up by anything (SUPER common in music), so having a subscription model works against professional users of their software.

Yeah, maybe not ebay. I used Swappa back in the day and that was cool. But phone hardware hasn't improved THAT much in the past 5 years. You can go pretty far back and have a pretty decent phone. Android phones lose their value a lot faster so you can usually get them super cheap. Should probably buy unlocked

Why are you gonna ask if you're gonna argue when someone tells you the answer? You said you're not American or Italian and don't know about it. Why are you arguing using information you said you know is wrong?

I've had my 6t for 5 years at this point and had no idea this existed

I got better at this by doing debate in high school. In most forms of debate, it's standard to take pieces of evidence and only read certain words to make it shorter and more concise.

The way I did it was this. I started with highlighting any sentences that provided information I considered essential to the article as a whole. Then I'd slowly just start bolding the stuff that was important from that. Then highlight everything from the bold that isn't redundant or bad writing. It was an endless loop for a while, but eventually I got to the point where I could just highlight with zero iteration because I got used to finding what is and isn't important.

Windows Defender is fine. The only anti-virus good enough at what it does to be worth buying instead of just using WD is Emisisoft, and that has its own set of issues.

You know what's more stimulating than any individual game you'll have him play? Making his own choices on what to play. And like I said, brightline, what is and isn't stimulating to you? Are shitty flash games banned for being too simple minded?

Parenting is your kid learning from you. They're not learning why you're banning Roblox, and if you explain it to them they don't really understand. My kid is starting to not fuck with Roblox anymore because of how pay to win some of the games are. He had to do a lot of chores for those Robux and instantly wished he had the money for better things a couple days later when he wanted a plushie at the store. When I told him he could have gotten that plushie if he hadn't gotten Robux, he stopped wanting Robux. He learned the value of money, and learned to prioritize the things he wants, and coincidentally doesn't want to play Roblox like he used to. I didn't have to be the bad guy because most kids have things they want more than Robux. All I had to do was make him choose.

Seriously, download and play Roblox with him. There are a million different games on there, you can even filter games on the site. Some of the games are actually really fucking good. Meet him where he's at, set rules so he has to play Roblox with you. You can actually monitor what he's playing and doing, while getting in some bonding time. Because your Dad playing tag or whatever dumbass things we were into as kids was way usually way cooler than playing Dad's game. You're going to be

I was on Tidal forever ago. To answer the most important question, no the higher quality audio files aren't total snake oil. Certain offerings definitely sound better. Amazon Music generally offers higher sound quality though. Tidal also do pay artists better, but Napster is the best about payment if I'm not mistaken (ironic as fuck).

As for the app though... It's been a few years, but this is where everything that offers sound quality goes to shit. The desktop player was ass and the website was ass. It didn't know how to handle Last.fm and other things I'd consider basics for Audiophiles. Amazon Music's UI was even worse, I cancelled it after 2 days.

Spotify has the best value proposition. Hulu+Spotify for 10 bucks is good. I also question how long Tidal will be able to continue existing.

I mean they do have Android drivers for Exynos now, but if normal devs are still working around snapdragon the effects will still be felt. For all the pull Samsung has, Snapdragon has a much bigger market share.

I bet this is for compression for mobile networks. Saw those pictures on a phone screen and they looked fine. Plus, webcams just look like shit. Even if your Pixel 8 Pro is compressed as fuck, it's still gonna look better than most people's webcam.

I'd be more critical if Roblox didn't require ID verification for 18+ accounts. Think it's fucking hilarious that Roblox dating would already be doing more than most dating apps lol.

Usenet is pretty much the only place where you can find truly everything. Many of the original seasons and episodes are lost media. So you can't actually get everything without a private tracker or Usenet

Why tho? It's good information.

This is what in thinking. Even the few people I know IRL that know COBOL from their starting days say it's a giant pain in the ass as a language. It's not like it's really gonna cost all that much time to do compared to paying labor to rewrite it from the base, even if they don't end up using it. Sure, correcting bad code can take a lot of time to do manually. But important code being in COBOL is a ticking time bomb, they gotta do something.

Yeah, OP of this thread (me) actually has schizophrenia. Being a right wing shithead isn't the same as being schizophrenic. Schizo is just the new way people have of calling people "autistic" like people did a decade ago.

Pretty much all Android drivers are for snapdragon. Not just using a snapdragon is pretty much asking for a bad time.

If we made a big enough boost midsole, would a horse find it as comfortable as a human?

...an enthusiast device that isn't Snapdragon?

What a bad idea
