Why can’t all cell providers have an agreement where if the user dials 911 or whatever the equivalent is in their country your phone will connect to any network if your provider isn’t currently available and route the call.

Being restricted to only your network when another provider might have a cell tower nearby with full signal is ridiculous in an emergency.

Doesn’t really matter if it is easy to turn off. By that point it is already too late, all your files have been uploaded to their server.

In my experience, pipewire is leagues ahead of pulseaudio and just works. All the issues I had with pulseaudio are resolved with pipewire and it sounds better as well with the default settings.

It does only run on Windows. This compatibility checker isn’t working correctly and is most likely detecting Wine as Windows 10 for some reason.

It does have Firefox but it’s a Safari reskin.

FLAC files - better sound quality

I wouldn’t be surprised if older versions have a backdoor too as they were a maintainer for 2 year so who knows what they added.

Where I live changing the AC is a task they can ask you while on the test.

If you do it dangerously such as swerving or taking your eyes off the road for extended periods then you can fail the test.

This is insane but why aren’t they going after Ryujinx too?

Do routers and access points need patching too?

Clickbait! If it said “Firefox 123 is out with a new tool for reporting broken websites to Mozilla”, most users would scroll past…

They haven’t updated their website yet. It still says to download the deb package or tar.gz package. No mention of the flatpak.

Hopefully they update it at some point.

Or matrix which is far more modern and user friendly than IRC.

The RDP improvements are huge. If only KDE supported remotely logging into a session that wasn’t already logged in on Wayland.

Voyager supports all of these apart from spoilers.

They only have 2 hours of battery life so you can’t really take them out.

You can selfhost the Bitwarden server.

Very interesting to read. A lot of this is not really surprising like Docker being much higher than bare metal installations.

However, I’m surprised Caddy wasn’t higher. While I use nginx I keep hearing good things about Caddy.

But then you don’t get the benefit of having increased privacy due to lots of people using the same IP.

Doesn’t look like they bothered to update their macOS client to 64bit. Currently the game is unplayable on new versions of macOS.

Anyone tried on wayland?

What stopping someone from recreating this on mastodon or any other website?

There is nothing special about Twitter which allowed people to track this jet.

It’s really good but I do wish it supported more languages like Russian or Japanese. So far most of the times I have had to translate a page, Firefox didn’t support the language.

The homebrew community has ported the games to 3DS with an emulator.

New Nintendo Switch

Unless you compress it heavily, a Blu-ray rip is in the 20 to 40GB range.

Is it? Last time I tried none of my docker compose files would start correctly in podman compose.

The 3DS wasn’t meant to be replaced by the switch when it released hence they supported both for a period of time.

The Switch 2 on the other hand is literally meant to be a replacement to the Switch so I wouldn’t be surprised if they dropped first party support when it releases.

Hmm how would one know if their specific AP is affected? Lots of manufacturers won’t release updates.

That’s a bit annoying as it means you can’t 100% the game as there will always be one achievement you can’t get.

This is really unfortunate as these huge companies will have control over most of the internet and when they go down (which does happen) most of the Internet will go down too.

They seem to be having some difficulties but it is being worked on: https://github.com/aeharding/voyager/issues/9

Pipewire is a massive improvement over Pulseaudio.

I'm not being a dick. Proton had enough info on French climate activists to sell them out.

Extinction Rebellion types may be the most anemic politics I've seen in my life, so the idea they're locking up people attracted to something that lame... it's like locking me up for piracy. Fuck Proton.

Source?

Valve? I think they are pretty good and pro consumer.

I don’t understand why they haven’t pulled the update… it is still in the repo and your system will upgrade to it if you run apt update.

Can’t you block threads yourself once .world updates to 0.19.0?

It is a managed switch. What’s wrong with TP-Link managed switches?

I have a basic Netgear managed switch for VLANs.

It has a native implementation for 1 to 1 calls and group calls is currently in beta for the Element client.
