For a whole new level of frustration, try to research any HOA before you buy a house. Their rules aren't typically disclosed until after you buy the house put in your offer and enter escrow.

I like the approach Pop OS takes. Their software store lets you choose between deb or flatpak when you install software. I've had issues with flatpak versions of some software, and flipping to the deb package usually fixes it.

Would container tabs work for you to test the site in a clean environment?

I run my own single user instance, and it was down as well. Not sure why someone would target a single user instance. Not ruling it out, but it seems unlikely.

When a project doesn't publish a deb or other native package, or when the flatpak is much newer and has features you need.

I just wanted to say I think it's a really cool concept for a server.

I can understand how the system config can be back in that short amount of time. How does data backup and restore work in Nix? Is it different than other distros?

Yeah I miss remembered my experience. I still think an offer and escrow is too far in the process before the rules are disclosed.

I use a yubikey with a static password set in slot 2. There's a shorter mental password I add to the static password. Those combined mean my master password to my password manager is something I know and something I have.

I run a static site using Hugo, Gitea, Gitea Runners, Cloud Front, and S3.

I use a combination of Heimdall and Authelia to list all my services and control access to internal resources. Authelia is great because it lets you put authentication in front of applications that don't have a login, including 2FA options.

Another solution might be setting up Syncthing on all your computers. It would present as a folder on the local systems and anything put in there would be synced to the other systems. No logins required.

You are correct. What I don't like is you have to put in an offer on a house and get that far before you see the rules.

The experience is pretty good except for discoverability of new communities. My Subscribed and All feeds are the same. I started with the official local development docker-compose file and massaged it into place for my setup.

The DRM Destiny 2 uses is compatible, they just aren't enabling that flag in their builds. Destiny 2 ran great on Stadia and that was Linux.

Pop socket life. I have a magsafe case for my Pixel 7 Pro and the magnetic pop socket. I can pull it off when I want and wireless charge.

Backblaze B2 sync from my NAS. All my client computers use ayncthing or Nextcloud to the NAS.

Anyone have some favorites related to Lemmy or Mastodon? I've seen a couple that claim to make following and subscribing easier on other instances but I'm not sure if they are trustworthy.

Hi

Congrats!

I want it to become as useful as reddit was in finding concise and correct information for a huge variety of topics.

I was looking up traefik labels for my new Lemmy docker-compose setup and had to reference reddit.

Some flavor of Wireguard.

How does Paperwork compare to Paperless?

10 years?! I feel old.

I'm not sure. I used to play more but my free time has fallen off.

All fair points. Still wish they'd do the work to support the Steamdeck and stop banning players on Linux.

Do you have a link to the bug tracker for the restart problem?

This video is a great explanation. https://youtu.be/7J52mDjZzto

Have you tried the Notes app in Nextcloud? I moved all my keep notes to that not too long ago, and they show up as markdown files when you sync them to your desktop. There's a Notes Android app as well.

Any tips on how to customize the favicon for my instance? Using the docker-compose method.

Hello there

Nextcloud News app.

I enjoyed it.

I use a local text editor and push the git repository, which triggers automation to generate and publish the content. vscode is my editor for that work.
