Thank you mom (シ_ _)シ

one problem it that it has threads has a very large userbase and it will likely flood the fediverse so instances that dont block them may dont really have other content and from what i understand is that the content there is flooded with influencers. At least the type of influencers i think are annoying and too comercialised.

And with the flood of content server admins that only do it for fun will get a problem with moderation.

There was a dude in this comment section that left a link about some type of essay (the link contains something with 15 minutes).

Anarchychess?

I'd just like to interject for a moment. What you're refering to as Linux, is in fact, GNU/Linux, or as I've recently taken to calling it, GNU plus Linux. Linux is not an operating system unto itself, but rather another free component of a fully functioning GNU system made useful by the GNU corelibs, shell utilities and vital system components comprising a full OS as defined by POSIX.

Many computer users run a modified version of the GNU system every day, without realizing it. Through a peculiar turn of events, the version of GNU which is widely used today is often called Linux, and many of its users are not aware that it is basically the GNU system, developed by the GNU Project.

There really is a Linux, and these people are using it, but it is just a part of the system they use. Linux is the kernel: the program in the system that allocates the machine's resources to the other programs that you run. The kernel is an essential part of an operating system, but useless by itself; it can only function in the context of a complete operating system. Linux is normally used in combination with the GNU operating system: the whole system is basically GNU with Linux added, or GNU/Linux. All the so-called Linux distributions are really distributions of GNU/Linux!

But seriously: another comment here points out some tool

i thought it was going to be something like: everyone knocks so loud that nobody can work
But this is way better

was confused at first about the renaming but makes sense to differentiate the fork (less confusion differentiating booth)

A strategy would be to make an alternative an a different server with the same name and bring people over. Or to contact the server admins about them

the main problem with this is that with them doing it without asking or time to prepare all the people the guy knew where lost or have a problem finding him.
And the huy was seemingly not even a nobody but instead had a company so even more company contacts could get lost or customers wanting to directly reach out to him could sent private data to a 3 party (twitter) about confidential informations.

Secondly it says that the company can and will take over accounts when they have some reason, even if it is only the name.
That means the trust in the handle gets completly broken because it could be a twitter account in just a few seconds without warning.
So they have the power to take over an official governement or news account without warning and only leaving a reason. This is theoretical but if there is a news station with a handle like "xnews" i can really expect that it gets taken over in some time in the future.

where is the screwdriver?

Oh no, eating with unwashed hands is THE WORST

The katana bends and gets like unusable (the soft back only makes it more bendable) while a normal eurobean sword would maybe have a stratch on the edges.
At least i think it was like this when i saw a documentary a while ago where they fixated the swords at a table and swinged with power on the other, with the fixated katana i itnk booth had a defect in on the cutting edge but weh the eurobean smord was fixated the katana had enough room to bend

So yea the soft "whoa it is more flexible and agile" part is the weak point

i ONLY want to conter your argument with email and activityhub: on email people choose to send stuff to a very limited amount of people except maybe newsletter and scammers. with threads, which should have already multiple times of osers compared to the fediverse, will flood the content to /all. Of course there are cool people but i think the entire fediverse culture will be blown away by threads in an instand. And with their weird moderation (especcially small) servers here will have large problems trying to moderate it

but by email there is no mass broadcasting to the public so it does not need to be moderated
