Late stage capitalism You make a business and it goes well, you make some money everyone is happy.

But with time your profits will plateau or even decline. It's natural, but businesses don't understand that it is insane to expect a company to always turn crazy profits when the product does not evolve.

Companies like apple and Microsoft don't worry as much because they are constantly evolving with new product.

Companies like Twitter, Facebook, reddit, Netflix have hit a wall where there really isn't anywhere else to go so they start making shareholder centered decisions made by people who aren't even in touch with the user base of their product.

When you start to talk about share holders more than your users, then you know you are lost.

“I think every business has a duty to become profitable eventually — for our employees shareholders, for our investors shareholders and, one day as a public company, hopefully our user shareholders as well,” - quote from the article

I was seeing less and less crazy from Rogan on the spotlight, thinking maybe he turned a new leaf and would focus more on just interviewing and comedy. And then he comes out like the most idiotic imbecile in all of media again.

2009-1209=800 Big oof there

I've always thought that the Tesla craze would fizzle as major car brands start investing in EVs and self driving tech. I'll take a Toyota, Volvo, Honda or BMW over a Tesla anytime.

Imagine thinking that Tolkien didn't write Lord of the Rings to make a fighting PS2 game in 2002 and writing an article 20+ years after it's release thinking it's a clever thought. That game is master piece!

I'll write a piece about how the 2004 PS2 game: The Polar Express misses the point of Christmas and collect my pay check.

Luxury? What luxury, twitter is just a feed of memes, short remarks and porn What feature could they possibly have held back???

Exclusives can be beneficial. By exclusives, I don't mean Sony/Microsoft pay the developer for exclusivity, that sucks. What I'm referring to is a developer picking a platform and developing a game using that platforms full potential. Games like Zelda, Crash Bandicoot, God Of War, Last Of Us all took full potential of their consoles architecture and brought pretty good games.

Had the Razr 5g, got it new for $600 through a T-Mobile offer. Loved the OS, very similar to pixels. Loved how small it was in my pocket. It became super easy to use daily but.... On month 9 a line appeared on my display, that night my phones battery died and upon reboot whole inside screen was messed up. The phone other wise looks pristine, and I have a case that protects it. I never dropped it either. Their one year warranty conveniently does not cover the screen and repair was $950 through Motorola. After arguing the did issue a discount and the phone would cost $750 to repair...when you could get a brand new one on their site for $600 at the time. Ridiculous.

Never buying Motorola again. Might try the Samsung flip in a few years once the tech is solid and affordable.

My family gives gifts till you die, quality goes down depending on how close your are and how old you're getting, but we all get/give something just to show some love

Took a leap with the Motorola RAZR 5g in 2021. Liked the features and the UI was decent, very similar to a Google pixel with a few extras.

Bluetooth sucked and had issues with the phone being picky with its USB C cable.

Worst part....with only 9 months with the phone the foldable screen started to fail, shortly completely unusable.

The screen is conveniently not covered in the one year warranty.

Phone cost me $600 brand new from T-Mobile. Repairs with Motorola would be $900!

Contacted them through Twitter and ultimately they tried to give me a %15 discount lol

Never again with them

I have a subscription because my parents bought me an HP printer, as soon as it breaks I'm getting a Brother

You're right in that exclusives are becoming less and less but I still think it's worth getting a PS5.

If you have the wallet for it I think the perfect setup is owning a switch for party games and Nintendo exclusives, a PS5 for Sony exclusives/general couch gaming and as your media machine, and a PC for all the rest.

Ps5 definitely has some great exclusives that imo make the system worth it, not to mention the graphical upgrades and how quick it is compared to a ps4.
-Ghost of Tsushima is a beautiful game, with a great story and gameplay, performs so much better on PS5 -Spiderman 2 -God of war Ragnarok -Horizon zero dawn -Gran Turismo

I use my PS5 for most of my games over my gaming PC, just more comfortable for me. Also I still like that you can get lucky if you go to a GameStop and find used physical copies of expansive games at a discount.

I have also always recommended owning an Xbox/PlayStation as a media device as well. Sound and image quality usually surpass your smaller basic steaming devices or built in smart TVs. Compared to my ps5, my ps4 crawls through the menus and loading screens. One of those things that you won't notice until you upgrade.

Having said all that, I wouldn't get the "pro" model, unless you have the cash and want to game in like 8k or some bs

I agree....but I gotta say I did love the last few chapters of Halo 3, especially the last bit where you drive away while everything explodes.

I'm going to make myself a sweatshirt with this picture

Here's a few reason The back button Omg everytime I use an iPhone I go crazy trying to go back and forth.

Easy APK installs

Multiple brands with slightly different experience, I've gotten to try HTC, Samsung, Sony, Google,Xiaomi....they're all unique with Sony and Google being my favorite.

I could go on for days.....

No, definitely don't want it to be like reddit with bans and removes. There's a down vote button for a reason, so I think communities moderate themselves with that. Down voted comments will remain, just at the bottom of threads so people can see. I also hate some of the rules regarding what type of questions to post and some posts getting removed because they broke a rule. Again, down votes and comments can steer the OP in the right direction. The only thing I want migrating from reddit is the scope: the fact that every hobby, brand and platform had a universal forum was nice.

Never thought of Reddit as a "social media" site. It sounds like he's trying to turn it into Facebook, bloated and mainly used for corporate business and your grandma.

So many times I've forgotten my Bluetooth headphones or they've died and I always find some wired ones but can't use them, or I can even go into a gas station and just buy some for $1.

Also my Sony headphones have an optional aux port to plug in, nice to use when they die because it doesn't need battery, or if I want to plug into another device without having to pair everytime.
