I don't know. I feel like I should know but I don't. It seems like other people know, I don't know why I don't.

Imagine having a political opponent you consider equal to Hitler and choosing Joe Biden as the candidate you run against him.

Adam Schiff is so fucking slimey. I do not want that man to represent me. He spent millions to boost a republican so that he would not have to run against Katie Porter. It reminds me of Hillary's superdelegates. The party is broken, the mega rich are pretending to let us have a say and then pretending to fight against the Republicans instead of solving problems.

My mother in laws friend was a roided out prison guard who had zero empathy. He was very kind to people but just could not understand when anyone had a hard time with anything. I fixed his computer and he refused to pay me because it looked easy so he figured I wasn't really working.

When his wife asked for a divorce he strangled her so hard it broke her neck. He then held her under water in the bath tub for almost an hour just to be sure. Then he tried to end himself by jumping off the second story of their house but survived with a back injury.

MIL actually showed up to court as a character witness. He spends most if his time these days in "protective custody" because a lot of the other inmates know him from when he was a guard. We still get letters from him and he is still a dickhead.

I don't understand why Pixel phones are not more popular. I prefer the stock android experience over Samsung's OneUI and they are usually less expensive.

The 1990's DRM game. A point and click mystery game where you have to find the DRM codes printed on the back of the disk, hidden in the CD-ROM jewel case, or the specific word on the printed in the manual to unlock mini games. You might even consider scanned JPEGs of each page of the manual in the file system of the copied CD-ROM that your friend made you.

Show up. Ask them to come when you do things. No matter what they are asking you to do you show up. Make room for them in your life too, every time you have room in your car let them know it would be great if they filled that seat. After enough time spent together you will have a much better grasp of what invitations mean something to them. You will also figure out when you actually want to be alone and when you would like to have company.

This idea is so poorly conceived. Imagine installing and maintaining something like this. How are those panels supposed to stay clean? The panels and the cover should both be built but they should not be the same thing. No current panels are engineered for this application so they would have to be custom made. Just getting the project to the point where the first panel could be installed would cost millions. We could get started now installing commercially available shade covers and ground mounted solar. Ground mounted solar is simple to clean, simple to maintain, and simple to replace.

I agree the idea looks like a great way to reclaim the space, reduce evaporation, and generate power I just think the money would be better spent on a plan the optimized for expenses and longevity instead of optimizing for novelty.

You just distilled and clarified into text exactly what I was feeling. Thank you.

I wear a basic watch so that I can keep track of the time without opening up my phone all the time. I discovered that when I wore a smart watch I was constantly peaking at my notifications and paying less than quality attention to my family. When I gave up the smart watch I was less distracted but still found myself wasting time when all I intended to do was check the time

Break Stuff with a boner

Pretty Fly for a White Guy with a boner

You look wonderful tonight with a boner

Breaking the law with a boner

When worlds collide with a boner

This is the entire premise of No Man's Sky.

Yes, it is behind the screen and you have to activate it with a hammer.

Money for infrastructure and money to buy the thing.

This comment is a lie.

The only thing the cameras would see is merchedise disappearing and may e a door opening and closing.

I am in IT and I feel like I speak for the industry we don't care. Some of my customers have regulators who make arbitrary and capricious decisions with a minimal understanding of infosec but we have to keep the customer compliant.

I have had to buy replacement USB-C/3.5mm jacks. I have never seen USC-C headphones but it has to be cheaper than these adapters.

It would be cheaper and easier to maintain separate instaaleions of a lightweight cover for the aquaduct and solar panel installed on solid ground. You could use the same money to add square miles of panels.

That's where the deadline comes in. My son and I are going backpacking in mid July. His old backpack is too small. I had planned on giving him mine or getting him a new one. I have given myself until this Friday to make up my kind and get it ordered. No order means I will have to give him mine and I'll use a backpack fit for a 10 year old.

I have a gaming PC I use a lot and I have a Microsoft Surface Pro. I take my Surface everywhere and use it for everything when I am not at home. I also have an office and at the office I use a dock for my Surface. I use my phone when the job is small enough that I expect to be able to do that work in less time that it would take me to get out my Surface.

I take a lot of notes with the surface, even when working at my desk. I can draw a lot of the problems at work better than I can describe them with words and since getting the surface I have hardly touched my waycom. Being able to see my drawings on the surface while I draw is super useful.

Sounds like you need Cloudflare. The free tier should be just fine.

This is the way. For larger purchases I will actually make spreadsheets, I list the features along the x axis and the products down the Y axis then assign a number 1-3 in each feature then sum and toss all but the top few. Once I have fewer options the choice os usually pretty easy.

For clothing the problem is harder. I'll make a shopping list with no more than 3 items. Then I only look at items on my list and only buy the one that fits and looks best. For clothing pricing can be tricky for me. As I have gotten older I have come to realize that MSRP is NOT a strong indicator for quality, but certain brands do cost more AND last.
