I am that uncle. Both my close and extended family are really nice, like better than any other I've ever met, but I just can't handle all the social stuff. Logitech Z-5500 Digital 5.1 Speaker System. Bought it on sale for about $250 back in 2005, I've used it for hours almost every day since then and still absolutely love it. The only issue I've ever had is the back-light of the control module breaking but it's just a minor annoyance, just need to shine a light on it at nighttime to see the screen.

I've always strongly disliked Tom, and I don't really know why.
I love many channels with the same kind of videos, it's right up my alley, and I should be a fan. But every time I try to watch any of his videos, I stop after a few seconds and think "nah, I can't stand this guy".
I've forced myself several times throughout the years to watch through whole videos with hope that it'll pass, but it never does.

I'll never forget the moment I learned who does the voice for Kratos in the GoW games. I'm a huge Star Gate fan, but I had never played any GoW until last year's PC release of the 2016 title. Loved the game but didn't think about looking up who did the voice. Someone posted his award speech from TGM, but I didn't immediately connect the dots even though I recognised the name. I've never used Twitch and never tried to keep up to date with anything related, but news about it are hard to miss nowadays. And from just my barely surface level exposure to it, it's so weird. I've seen people comment things like "use English, this is a US website", "go to another site for your own country if you want to use anything other than English", etc. even though the posts were in communities/subs specific for the language the post was in.
This has always been a thing online.
Many Americans are so dumb they think they are the vast majority on any website, and everything should be via their rules and ways. And there are several other things that seemingly only Americans are dumb enough to do and/or to not understand, things like timezones (even though they have several within their country), that the vast majority of the world uses Metric, that not every country has the same products or services, that their subjective experience of anything is in fact subjective, etc. I could go on for several more paragraphs with things like this.
Hitting a wall and having any chance of the wall breaking isn't really a thing outside the US. Everyone elsewhere notices that a lot in movies and videos. It's not uncommon for children outside America to ask adults why Americans have paper walls. People being mad and punching a wall and putting a fist-sized hole in it, falling and breaking the wall or throwing anything and the thing getting stuck in the wall. In most of the world it's you or the thing hitting the wall that'll break, not the wall itself.
