Sir this is the Linux instance.

En pissant

I started getting into games this morning. It's fun. I don't like the online-only part of the game, but they support Linux straight from release, and I will always support that.

GMO isn't bad. Everything is genetically modified.

Patented foods already exist. Have for years.

Monsanto has corn plants that don't grow at a consistent height if you try to replant the seeds, making them profit by getting you to buy more seeds next year.

We already have seedless plants, bananas.

Guns have recoil. An equal and opposite reaction to the light bullet going forward really fast is that the heavy gun goes backwards.

The 45-70 round was originally made for rifles, it would take a standing person's entire weight and strength to fight against the force of the bullet going forward.

If you take that same bullet but remove the weight of the rifle, and put it into a little handgun, you will be blown back from the force of the bullet.

Follow my onlyfans for more gun info.

What other issues? I'd like to see that chat as well.

It's all open source. You can merge them yourself. It is a massive technical challenge and pretty much impossible, it'd be like merging minecraft and fallout together.

People do make money off of open source projects, not just from donations, but sometimes providing prenium features, or providing their own servers instead of you maintaining your own.

There are project leaders, Linus has the final say in what does and does not make it into the Linux kernel.

I remember it being in the bottom corner of some VHS tapes back in the day. Maybe a production company?

I'm at a loss. What is this?

Camera and batteries. Turn it on and send it. I'm about to host the hottest twitch stream.

I've been thinking about making an only fans for firearm content. Framing it as "this would be CENSORED and REMOVED anywhere else!" all for the most lukewarm readily available information.

Same here. I'd love to do the same just to not surround myself in a hivemind of friends. South Mississippi

One important thing you need to know about distros: they're all the same under the hood.

You can have any desktop you want on any distro. But some customizations are redone in some distros. In terms of programs you want to run, they pretty much all work on any distro. If a distro is "better for gaming" it usually just means the programs are pre-installed.

People talk about arch and Debian as the best because they have the least customizations, allowing you to install and customize as you wish.

Linux users are mostly tinkerers, they like their customizations their way. I'm in that boat. The less I have to remove to get my customization working, the better. Just give me a black screen and a white blinking cursor, I know how to do the rest from there.

Actual penetration. When the outside touches anything inside the eye. Something poking the outside really really hard isn't going to introduce your antibodies to the inside of the eye.

Most distros are the same under the hood. I'd recommend downloading different desktop environments. You can stay on Mint and keep all your files.

It's very hard to tell. Most decades have inertia that carry on 3-4 years in. You didn't see people vaping or people with full beards drinking craft beer until 2013.

It's hard to tell what's seeping into the new decade from the last decade, what's here to stay, and what's new to come. Are NFTs the new thing? Or just a symptom of the boom in crypto the 20-teens.

I do predict AI will be here to stay, though.

Linux is just an operating system, shove it on an old laptop and give it a try.

Not everything needs a meaning to be enjoyed.

IIRC payday 2 lost it's native Linux build, however, I never played it, just used proton.

Now you're making claims that valve isn't helping you, and not showing evidence of it.

If you can't show it, you don't know it.

I've been playing chess and chess puzzles.

I just sonic welded my steam deck, with extra rivets through the screen and fan to be sure.

Waiting 5 months to reply to this.

I'd start with Ubuntu. If there's any niche software, it will probably run on Ubuntu/debian distros.

From what I've seen:

Many of the fans seem to be such different sizes, placements, etc. It seems like no one really knows how to cool the steam deck from the back at this time.

I have also never seen someone's default steam deck getting overheating issues. But I don't work for valve's warranty/RMA department.

Personally, I haven't had any issues playing GTAV on my steam deck directly in my lap. A friend of mine has the JSAUX plastic back plate, their thermal pad doesn't fit flush, and removing the thermal pad doesn't affect temperature more or less than the original.

I am of the opinion that no accessory is needed for 1-2 hours of play in terms of cooling, it will be fine for years to come. Battery, however, will be your main issue. I'd get an external battery, and some companies make cases that can hold the battery to the back.

Let me know if you need any help getting your steam deck set up! Or if you need any advice on some things you should do first with your SD.

We have a great warranty posted in our website, but the warranty you get in the package is nothing like it.

A used laptop with a fresh battery, SSD, and RAM would be the best performance-per-dollar setup, but I agree chromebooks are very cheap of you just want a simple web browser.

If you want to go with a chromebook, I repair chromebooks for my job. I recommend the HP 11 G8/G9 model. They're light, cheap, perform just as good as any other chromebook, and they're easy to repair.

Yeah, you look at how there are a handful of package managers, and hundreds of distros, they're pretty much all the "same"

But yes gentoo and NixOS do things the most differently. But even on those you can game on them.

I mostly want to discourage distro hopping with the belief that they're missing out on a program or desktop, only to end up on windows because they're tired of reinstalling everything.

There's definitely wifi and printers in hell.

Just work out after work, train on the weekends, and you'll be better than a majority of people. And isn't that enough most of the time?

I try to keep it FOSS where I can.
