Your best chance would be to use a video capturer and record. However, scene groups actually download the video from the servers. ¿How? Probably they found an exploit and developed a tool around it but certainly it's private otherwise the exploit might get fixed.
Well to be fair it depends on personal preference rather than a technology being better than other. I used to torrent everything but nowadays I just subscribed to RD and with Stremio or Kodi + Trakt I got everything I need without having to worry for searching.
OneDrive family. It gives you 1 TB per account. You can add up to 5 members and they don't give a fuck about pirated content. I've been using them for the last 2 years without any encryption and I've had no problems.
