Reddit as a company is just so full of shit. "We're so threatened by the fact that we can't make money off of your subreddit that we're going to threaten you." Like?? All of this could have been avoided if they had just had reasonable pricing for their API. They're just driving themselves into the ground.

I think megathreads are useful for things like an album release or a weekly episode release. It gives a place for conversation to occur without flooding the community with duplicate posts. I think the megathreads you're referring to though are the ones where it's like "New DIY-ers, ask questions here!" I agree that those should stay gone. No one reads them and they aren't helpful.

Oh no... People enjoying things in spaces made specifically for them to do that... Whatever will we do...

I live in Canada and I've never heard of this happening. Did they just straight up ask you this at customs?

I saw Motley at a stadium tour they did a couple years ago and Vince was awful. They could have pulled literally anyone from the audience to sing and it would have been better than Vince.

That's like that Black Mirror episode where the people are required to keep their eyes open and focused on the screen for everything

Do you lay your nose on tissues?

Yeah those kinds of megathreads are absolutely useless

Two spirit in a Canadian Indigenous context refers to people who identify as having two spirits inside of them. They have the spirits of both a man and a woman, so in terms outside Indigenous culture I think the most related term would be non-binary.

Just an hour and a half to go!!

25 years old, I live in Alberta, Canada. I learned on automatic and then my first car was a manual. I have only owned cars with manual transmissions since. So much more fun to drive imo

I swipe and tap to type. It really depends on what I'm doing. If I'm typing one handed, swiping is really nice and super fast. I'll also swipe to type if my phone is on the table and I'm only typing with one finger. If I'm using both hands, I will generally tap to type.

Edit to add I used SwiftKeys on Android

I was in high school when I started to realize that I was bisexual. I started questioning around Grade 11 and 12, and then came to terms with it in my first year of university. However, it didn't really change anything for me. I was in a long term relationship at the time, and after that one ended I very quickly ended up in another relationship which I've been in ever since. Both of them were "hetero" relationships.

Knowing that I'm bisexual hasn't changed my feelings for my partner. All it has done for me is help me accept that what I'm feeling is normal, and that it's perfectly okay to be attracted to both males and females.

The fact that you're happily married shows you still love your spouse. Questioning your sexuality doesn't have to change anything about your marriage. If anything, I would talk to your spouse about it and go "hey, I've been thinking about this a bit, and I'd like your support while I try and work through these feelings." You can question and work through it without having to "experiment" or look for anything outside your current relationship.

And remember, being in a "hetero" relationship does not invalidate your sexuality. You don't even have to label your sexuality if you don't want to.

Yup, that's it. I'll miss it but I think Lemmy will be better. And I can't wait for Sync for Lemmy!

This is sort of off topic, but do you like your Steam Deck? I'm trying to decide whether to build a PC or get a Steam Deck, but the thing is I literally just want something to run Steam Big Picture mode. It seems like a waste to build a PC just for that, but I'm worried the Steam Deck won't run fantastically if I just want to leave it hooked up to my TV 90% of the time.

Thank you!! I'd have to pull up the RAW for the complete specs, but I shoot with a Nikon D3400. This shot was probably taken using my wide angle lens.

You Belong With Me by Taylor Swift is always a crowd pleaser

I swapped my Sync app on my homescreen out for Jebroa for Lemmy, so when I instinctively go to open Reddit, I open Lemmy instead. Seems to be working well so far!

I do like it, but if I were to get something new I'd probably switch to Sony if I'm being honest. Nikon is okay but their software has always felt like it's lacking. Their apps for transferring files from camera to phone are very outdated, and having a camera that allows me to remote shoot using my phone would be really nice to have.

Good to hear you like it! I will definitely make the switch to Sony if I ever get the money to do it haha
