Honestly the way it should be, if they're certifying it, the warranty should match that.

He's so damn creepy. First the pedo thing, then the breeding thing, now this. I'm beginning to think Musk is the pedophile.

The superseding indictment charges Trump, De Oliveira and Nauta with two new obstruction counts based on allegations that they instructed an unnamed, fourth worker to delete surveillance video footage at Trump's Mar-a-Lago residence last summer "to prevent the footage from being provided to a federal grand jury." (Via NPR)

He's totally going to jail, huh?

Security workers aren't paid enough to protect you from the law, lol.

During the interview, Putin also said Wagner did not exist, citing Russian legislation outlawing private military companies and putting its future in doubt.

The doublethink is truly working double time.

Admitting to lying in a state where lying for business is explicitly a crime (even if bo one is hurt), is a bold strategy.

The rest of the world doesn’t use SMS/RCS/iMessage as much as WhatsApp and the like, so the US is pretty much lagging behind everyone else on this anyway.

Not sure I want to end up with Facebook controlling my messaging...

What about ROM hacks with Zelda replacing link?

Aside from Portal, maybe Mirrors Edge? There's bullets and fighting, but I don't remember too much violence. Maybe Tales Of Berseria?

Once she's older, that opens the door to The Walking Dead telltale series, Resident Evil, Assassins Creed (one of them anyway), Silent Hill, and (the new) Tomb Raiders.

Tomb Raider might not be too bad either considering the focus on stealth and puzzle solving

Going through Milford close to election night was a surreal experience.

Demonstrates just how dangerous he is - sit back and commit stochastic terrorism through your followers.

Honestly not surprising - the Russian war against Ukraine has demonstrated how hollow Russia is, and the brain drain has been constant. Russia has proven incompetent at space, especially when it comes to telling the truth.

Sounds like a novel legal idea, the problem is the Supreme Court would find some rationale for their foregone conclusions...

Edit: I wonder if he could just make the mandatory payment $0...

This is exactly why restaurants shouldn't use QR codes as menus, they're attack vectors - anyone can just come in and slap on their own QR sticker.

Not surprising given Android's history of tablet support, foldables won't be terribly different.

Need sustained support to facilitate app developers putting in the effort to update their apps for foldables.

A shame it's no longer owned by NPR

Distributed work is here to stay: It’s estimated that 48% of all knowledge workers will either be working fully remotely or in a hybrid environment by the end of 2023, and that 70% of the global workforce will work remotely or from flexible locations at least five days a month by 2025.

That is really funny for Google to acknowledge.

They require the car to be parked.

As noted in the article:

The apps, which are obtainable through the Play Store, are only accessible while parked,

As others alluded to, theres Home Assistant Assist

If I can't have both, I'll take either this, or working 4 days (i.e. 32 hr) a week.

Especially polls a year early.

I just use the ping integration of Home Assistant, simple for me since I've already got HA running.

Hopefully more services support this soon - any idea of sites/apps that support this now?

You'd think they would be able to compete on merits alone in the free market, but instead they resort to this. Just like Twitter and mastodon. It's funny how scared they are about something so innocent.

Reddit has informed the moderators of those subreddits that it has plans to replace resistant moderation teams to keep spaces "open and accessible to users."

Honestly entirely predictable. Should really be a wake up call to moderators and communities that haven't gone dark that Reddit, Inc is not trustworthy (just like how spez has been willing to edit posts).

Good luck to Reddit trying to moderate 5000 new communities and not devolve into Twitter 2.

While technically not wrong due to the colloquial usage, there's a certain level of irony, given Trump's administrations actions (such as close ties to Russia, leaning towards the dissolution of NATO, etc), and the original definition.

This doesn't really matter to the people directing the narrative. It's about controlling bodies, not helping people.

I truly miss the way circles worked. It was very nice to not see political posts from people you were only interested to see Video Gaming posts from.

This seems more like a way to achieve what Samsung does with its messaging app

Wow, an actual user improvement for Discover, not a further decline down the hellscape it has become?

They don't need the traffic, just use the fediverse instead.

I wonder what it would take for UN peacekeepers to get involved. How bad does the situation need to get?

At this rate, this will be the only viable solution

Agreed. Although there is a bug where the current tab won't respond to any input (such as refreshing or new url entry) and you need to close the tab... it hasn't yet been annoying enough to open a new issue though...

Amazing how enshitification has continued to march on.

"Works" is a strong word

I believe it deletes it currently (though it may depend on server), but many have requested only removing location data (lens and copyright data is important for many photographers). I believe it's still being worked on.

A more concrete answer would be nice, in case I'm wrong 😅

Better off just using Firefox - I doubt they'd repeat all of the work of duet after removing it

Yes please!

The whole buffer/quick record that's been added to video card drivers have been a boon for capturing those blimo and you'll miss it episodes of hilarity.
