In adittion to this make sure to disable the telemetry that's on by default. If you want even better protection from fingerprinting etc, use arkenfox/librewolf (librewolf being preconfigured fork of firefox)

Not sure if I will continue using Gentoo, but thats what I've been using for the past.

I was curious just to try to install it, but after I did it and learned about portage (package manager) and the USE flags and I really liked it beacause it gives you so much control. For example, dont want packages to have bluetooth because your motherboard doesn't support bluetooth? You can do it via USE flags per package or globally. Idk I just really like this.

But im hella busy rn in college so I might go back to arch or fedora.

Edit: Brain no worky meant to say for the past month.... mb

Wow, I never thought about this, but this is probably pretty good to have right? Might be a good way to find info about something if their sites are really confusing etc possibly

I an new myself but I dont think it does. Only difference there might be is that some just lag more (lemmy.ml) due to so many users.

+1 for newsboat. I wasnt looking for anything thats light but decided to try it out and its perfect for what I need

Well if you're talking about privacy, then the answer is yes. Vivaldi only collects what pc specs you have or something like that to see how many users day have. Way better than what google chrome does. But I guess yes you are technically supporting the chromium engine monopoly but tbh just use what you like.

Yeah wayland has been working surprisingly well for me here too. It's just annoying that they've again fucked up and now can't have a monitor above 144hz if there is more than one enabled.... Literally aids.

Not that I know of but I use libredirect.

I switched to this instance, because lemmy.ml was just too laggy. Also I use mastodon.world so I knew it's a good instance.

This would be awesome!

Yeah its weird that it's only two days, but also many are going private forever (though reddit will just replace the mods unfortunately)

This looks great!

Yep me too also deleted all posts & comments. Lets hope thry don't restore them though

Wow I really though that it just would be the lemmy.ml instance

It took sometime getting used to, but I am really enjoying this and just waiting to see how many people will stay here.
