I use Privacy Friendly versions of Sudoku and Minesweeper on the F-Droid store. I also really enjoy Nonograms (aka Picross), and haven't found a good foss app for it, but the app "nonograms.com" has been a good experience for me. I paid like $5 for the ad free version and that's been it, nothing else.

Will check it out. Thanks for the suggestion!

I'm currently using searx.be with good results

You can in fact change the handler to NewPipe! Navigate in your settings to wherever your screen is that shows you a list of all your apps. Navigate to YouTube (assuming you have that installed, skip this step if you don't have it installed), and find the "Open by default" option (might be named differently depending on your Android provider), and disallow the option to open supported links. Now go back to your apps list and find whatever NewPipe application you use (I use the Sponsorblock fork for instance), click the "Open by default" option again, make sure it's enabled, then there should be a list of links supported. For the types of links you want supported, make sure they have a check box by it, and you should be good!

Did you read the post you replied to? They said financially liable. Read through the quote you responded with and tell us where they are held financially liable. They are (rightfully) mad that it's the taxpayers that are effectively paying out the settlement instead of the police force.

I'll comment and agree with most of the people who have already commented who recommend Linux Mint. It's very good for beginners. Alternatively, you can also take a quiz found at distrochooser.de to get an idea of which distros may be right for you.

This looks like an amazing class! I would absolutely take it, it looks awesome to me.

For the uninformed, what exactly is this apparent situation that happened?

That is the default I believe, yes

I use Feeder which has been awesome so far for me

Not the Framework 16, but I've used the Framework 13 for 2 years now and have lived it with Ubuntu. I believe Fedora was also mentioned on the Linux support page back then, although I was just getting into Linux at that point so my memory could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure. I haven't used Fedora personally but I think it would be absolutely fine on the Framework 16.

I use Breezy Weather for a forecast of the chance to rain on an hourly basis, and wX for a radar. Hope this helps!

Breezy Weather is part of the IzzyOnDroid FDroid repository, and wX is part of the normal FDroid repository seemingly.

I've had success with Standard Notes personally. I've just used the basic default server, but I know you can self host it. Best of luck!!

Wait I have to do that daily?

PeerTube in general is the best alternative so far. TILvids is an example of a PeerTube instance, but PeerTube is federated just like Lemmy here, so you can find a different instance if you don't like TILvids, or even host your own if you want! I don't know the best instance for you off the top of my head though, I just use TILvids as well, which works fine for me as just a viewer.

As a user of a Xperia One IV, I can say I've been very impressed and very happy with my phone. One of the few good phones that still has a headphone jack and a microsd card slot, both of which I regularly use. When it runs out of updates at some point, I can install a custom OS on it like Lineage, so it's been awesome and I'll be using this phone for years to come. If you can afford one (since they are quite expensive, I got mine on a sale and it was still expensive), I highly recommend it.

They meant PCs, with the context meaning desktops. Not trying to be rude, to clarify, just giving context!

Bloons Tower Defense 6 is a really good game that you could sink time into! It is paid, but I highly recommend it

How do you even change the font in your browser?

I have not experienced this, no. Unsure as to what that could be, but if another instance doesn't cause that issue that would be a good sign that it is the current instance you're on.

Sorry, but I don't know how to do that. I use Cromite, not Brave.
