I go back to Reddit now from time to time. Mostly to ask specific questions in communities that are niche and don't exist on here. They are the only good interactions I see that are just as good as here. Elsewhere it's just different. I've not been able to put my finger on why, myself like. But it's definitely not the same.

If there was a relevant one here I'd post here for sure. Reddit is a last resort or if I really need a response from someone sooner than later, cause there's still more eyes on Reddit.

Please don't be one of them Devs that does everything on discord. It's awful for knowledge. You'll just get people asking the same questions because you don't have an FAQ or a wiki, or even a forum elsewhere that's easily searchable.

Well technically yeah, because just giving it the game doesn't inherently cost then anything. It's just a "lost" sale. But it's soon not going to be able to be bought so what's the difference. This is a very sane and good move from MS. Still sucks that they have to delist it though

Even really old games have T&Cs though, they're usually just in the installers. They've existed for games since at least windows 95

I think if the TOS changes on a game you have paid for you should have the right to a refund if you don't agree with the new one

MegaDrive. Don't remember how I got it, I just always had it. I don't play it that often if at all anymore as I prefer the ease of emulating on my HTPC with retroachievements. Even got a nice saturn style fight pad that works great for MD games.

Also the model I have is the region free Asian one even though I live in the UK. I've always had a JP copy of sonic 1 too. No idea how they ended up in my hands.

I sold my PS2 and every game I owned for it for like 3-4 360 games. About 5 or so years later I massively regretted that. Ended up trying to go for a full PS2 PAL collection, likely to compensate. Stopped collecting at around the 600+ mark.

They're still never as good as they used to be. I don't think the deals have been as good since they stopped doing the timed deals during sales.

I always much prefer to play at the marine resolution of what I'm playing. Not only do i want to have the same experience as of i was using the console but upscaling can often cause some oddities. Especially with 3d games whereas polygons are sharp and any 2d elements are still pixelated. I think that mismatch looks way uglier than the whole screen being pixelated.

I've only ever played 2000 on ps1, pc and openra. Will be interesting to try out this remaster

I hope this doesn't make them think they can do this again though. This should make them realise they should've always gave the Devs more time to cook or been more realistic with scope from the get go

I think the "most truthful" thing encompasses the games too. It comes across as "whatever the players do is what is canon to them" and "along with the games" means things alongside the games, not the games themselves.

Kinda like the game manual saying x character was killed in the previous game or something but you as a player never let that happen. Your canon is the true canon, not what is written.

Redundancy is very different to being fired though. When you're fired you just lose your job and that's it. If you get made redundant, you lose your job but get paid X amount of months worth of wages to make up for the fact you may be jobless for a while, while you look for a new one. X being different depending on both the countries laws and the company's policies. But usually it increases the longer you've been with the company.

You can get waterproof headphone jacks, just like how usb ports are now waterproof even without the sealed flaps we used to have to deal with. Even back then the headphone jacks didn't go under a flap because they were fine as is.

I used to find it kinda stressful until i realised there was no time limit to the game like the usual harvest moons so once I realised that, I never find myself rushing around or overextending my ability to farm to grind more and just focused on what I was enjoying in the game which was a bit of everything.

The biggest impact from my adhd is actually a shorter than average short term memory span. Mine was found to be about 8.5 second, with the average humans being 18.

My long term memory is fine, probably better than most but it's getting stuff in there that's the issue.

Technically win 11 has the same main version number to win 10. They're essentially different UIs with extra features in 11. There's no technical reason why anything in 11 can't be backported to 10 unless it requires a TPM (maybe)

Because they're new, they really need that telemetry data to improve arc. And they've clearly been using it cause of how much they've improved since launch
